The classic Land Rover Defender V8 returns with 25 very special units
This classic Land Rover model is the star of a limited edition of 25 units that pays tribute to the legendary Camel Trophy, the off-road competition.

One of the most remembered and missed off-roaders is the classic Land Rover Defender. A model that was discontinued after 67 years and has remained in the popular imagination as the definitive image of the brand. It is no longer in production and has been replaced by other models featuring more modern and attractive elements, but the company has wanted to pay tribute to this model and to do so has launched a special edition of just 25 units of one of its versions.
The version chosen for this edition has been named Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy and aims to recall the famous competition Camel Trophy, which later became the Land Rover Trophy. There are two body styles, the 90 and the 110, and it recreates the original models so that these 25 fortunate owners can drive a legendary vehicle capable of tackling any terrain.

Classic exterior
The bodywork has been painted in Eastnor Yellow, the typical yellow of this model. At certain points of the bodywork there are black contrast elements, such as the front bonnet, the rear tailgate and the wheel arches. The interior also features black, which the RECARO seats also feature.

A legendary engine
That is what we find in the visible parts, but inside there are equally interesting and attractive features. Among them, the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre petrol V8 engine. It delivers 405 CV of power and a maximum torque of 515 Nm, paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox with torque converter, and adds a reduction gear and four-wheel drive.
Work has been done to offer a more efficient braking system, as well as suspensions capable of tackling the very same Camel Trophy just as their predecessors did. Buyers were able to optionally add a snorkel, front bumper guard, heritage front grille, main and auxiliary LED headlights, winch, high-strength steel wheels, external roll cage, roof rack cover, mud flaps and underbody protection.
And I say “were able” because these 25 Land Rover Defender Works V8 Trophy have already sold out. Within just a few hours, interested buyers reserved every unit put up for sale. And that was with a starting price of 225,000 euros for each one. A triumph for a classic model that remains one of the favourites of those who dare to take on anything.
