Suzuki announces a limited edition for Spain with only a few units of its GSX-8R
Suzuki presents for Spain a limited edition of just 35 units of its new GSX-8R in an eye-catching new yellow colour for its fairing

Suzuki was taking it to the EICMA 2023 Motorcycle Show, held at the end of the year, with its new GSX-8R, a fully faired version of the naked GSX-8S that had arrived a few months earlier. Together they formed a very interesting pair in the mid-capacity sports segment and undoubtedly gave a breath of fresh air to the Japanese brand’s motorcycle range, which had aged and fallen behind the competition, the rivals having made a qualitative leap forward in both design and technology.
What has not changed, in general across all Japanese motorcycle brands, is the concept of offering up-to-date, correct technology without big frills, together with eye-catching design at a undeniably very competitive price. This is even more so in a segment where power and motorcycles that feel like computers to keep it under control are increasingly common. The Suzuki GSX-8R belongs to the first group and is undoubtedly a very valid and interesting option for anyone looking for a sporty, high-performance and technological motorcycle that is also manageable and fun, suitable for any rider regardless of experience.

Now, in Suzuki they have set out to make the GSX-8R an exclusive motorcycle too, something achieved through a special livery and a run of just 35 units for Spain, so they will likely sell out quickly. When it went on sale, the Suzuki GSX-8R was offered in Metallic Triton Blue, Matt Metallic Silver and Matt Metallic Black, and now this beautiful Yellow joins them, combined with black plastics and vinyls and grey wheels, a combination that undoubtedly highlights even more the beauty of this motorcycle and puts greater emphasis on its lines.

The sportiness and aggressiveness of the Suzuki GSX-8R’s lines will certainly not go unnoticed in this yellow tone. In addition, if you see one on the road you will know it is a limited-edition colour, and you can check the unit’s number thanks to the identification plate located on the tank. Otherwise this GSX-8R remains the same, with its engine featuring the characteristic crankshaft set at 270º to give it a more sporty character and a sound resembling 90º V engines. Its power output is 83 CV and it produces 78 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm, so it can be ridden by holders of the A2 licence (limited version) as well as the full A licence.

Its engine is also managed by the Intelligent Riding System Suzuki (SIRS), through which three power modes and five levels of adjustable traction control are included, accessed via the 5-inch colour TFT LCD screen. Together with the quickshifter for both upshifts and downshifts, this lets us get the most out of our GSX-8R in any type of riding and situation. The chassis is rounded off with an inverted Showa SFF-BP fork and a rear shock absorber, which unfortunately offer no adjustment, although they are set as standard to offer a balance between comfort and sportiness. We must not forget the front brakes, with 310 mm discs and Nissin four-piston radial calipers.
The 35 units of the Suzuki GSX-8R Special Edition will be available in Spain for €9,399, including an 8-year warranty and free premium assistance from kilometre 0 for rider, passenger and motorcycle.
