Tesla's V3 Supercharger arrives in Europe, although it is not yet available in Spain
The new V3 Supercharger is included in the new charging station located in London, which brings the total to 500 stations spread across Europe.

Electric cars have a significant handicap: they need to charge their batteries. This is a problem that is becoming easier to solve all the time, and Tesla is working hard on it. So much so that it is continuously improving its charging systems. The latest technology developed by the California-based company is applied in the V3 Superchargers.
These V3 Superchargers have a charging capacity of 250 kW, which considerably reduces charging time: 50% less time to charge, delivering 120 kilometres of range with just 5 minutes of charging. Good news that will offer more possibilities to the company’s cars when making long journeys.

Station number 500 in Europe
The station housing this new Supercharger is located in the North Acton area of London, specifically at 152 Duke Road. It is a particularly emblematic charging station, as it is Tesla’s 500th station in Europe. Eight V2 Superchargers, the previous version, have been installed there. Alongside them, the same number of V3 Superchargers have been added.
The earlier units have received an upgrade that adds 30 kW, which improves charging time, although they still cannot match the charging times of the new Supercharger. The new Superchargers do offer other advantages, however. The speed of charging will considerably reduce queues at the charging points. According to the company, the ability to add enough electricity in one hour for a range of 1,609 kilometres will prevent chargers from being limited, as they have been until now, to charging up to 80%.

In addition, the V3 Supercharger will allow the full power available to be dedicated to a single vehicle, making it even more efficient. The connector used by this V3 Supercharger is the so-called CCS Combo 2, which handles charging at this power with ease. That said, the V3 Supercharger cannot be used by every Tesla model.
Currently, only the long-range Tesla Model 3 and the Performance version can draw this maximum power, while the most recent versions of the Tesla Model S and Model X can draw 200 kW at most. For the time being, Spain does not have these new V3 Superchargers, but their deployment and installation across Europe is expected not to take too long, and we hope to be able to enjoy them.
