Audi Q4 e-tron Electric Cars SUV
The Audi Q4 e-tron 2024 comes with a new powertrain and more range
The new Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron improve their on-road performance, are more efficient, charge their battery faster and go further thanks to an increase in range.
The four-ring brand is preparing to update its compact SUV ahead of next year. The new Q4 e-tron features a new PSM motor on the rear axle, keeping the same unit already known on the front axle in the all-wheel-drive versions. According to the manufacturer, this update represents a significant improvement in efficiency and also in on-road performance.
Although Audi has not officially revealed what this new powertrain is, everything points to the APP550 unit from the Volkswagen Group with 210 kW that debuted in the ID.7, the new flagship of Volkswagen within its ID. family of electric models.

As a result, the output of the new Q4 e-tron 45 with rear-wheel drive and its Sportback variant will rise to 210 kW, and it will be able to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the two electric motors in the Q4 55 e-tron quattro and Q4 Sportback 55 e-tron quattro versions will deliver a combined 250 kW, with 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of 5.4 seconds. Also worth noting, the new Q4 Sportback e-tron 45 will remain the version with the greatest WLTP range, which according to the manufacturer will reach up to 562 km, compared with the 528 km it offered until now.
The new Q4 e-tron is better in every key area
The 77 kWh net (82 kWh gross) battery pack is now fitted to all versions on sale. Likewise, the maximum DC fast-charging power supported will be increased. In the all-wheel-drive versions it rises to 175 kW, while in those with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive it is slightly lower, at 135 kW. All versions keep, on the other hand, the same 11 kW onboard charger for AC charging.
Audi has also improved battery pack temperature management across all versions of the new Q4 e-tron. These new models now feature automatic preconditioning when a route in the navigation system includes intermediate stops for charging. Additionally, the German manufacturer’s compact SUV will also reduce battery pack temperature if it exceeds a certain limit after charging or after driving for a long period of time.

As for equipment, there are also some changes. The navigation system and the Audi Virtual Cockpit with a 10.25-inch screen will now be standard, the tailgate opening becomes powered, and heated front seats, which were previously optional, are now included.
Audi will begin accepting orders for the new Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron
from this coming 26 September. The price of the most affordable version starts in Germany at €52,950.
