The BMW M135i three-door has managed to lap the old Nürburgring track in 8 minutes and 5 seconds. The run was recorded on video for the delight of spectators.
Last week, a semi-professional driver at the wheel of the newly arrived three-door BMW M135i entered the famous Nürburgring circuit to try to set a time that would demonstrate the impressive track capability this German sports car possesses.
Pavel Janda, tester for Autoforum.cz, completed the lap with a time of 8 minutes and 5 seconds exactly, placing the smaller BMW ahead of prestigious models such as the Porsche Cayman S, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG or even the BMW Z4 M Coupé. The lap was recorded on video.
The M135i was fitted with Michelin Pilot SuperSport tyres, that is, rubber that, although not designed for maximum track performance, does help the driver with excellent grip when driving. The gearbox was a six-speed manual, old-school style.
For those who don’t remember the performance and features of this BMW, its bonnet houses a three-litre straight-six turbocharged engine capable of delivering 315 CV of power to the rear wheels and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. As a result, the M135i can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in under 4.9 seconds, with a self-limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Los que conducimos coches italianos tenemos que aguantar tonterías de los habitantes de un país que no fabrica ni una bicicleta ni tiene cultura automovilística. Es raro que un coche italiano te deje tirado o te de problemas, pero cuando alguno sale defectuoso se publica hasta en el BOE.
¿Pero a que esto no lo has leído? Si te extraña, más vale que te busques la vida porque esto es mucho más frecuente de lo que crees.
Justo cuando las ventas del M5 estaban marchando tan eficientemente como el motor que lo equipa, la marca alemana BMW ordenó detener la producción de este modelo y sus ventas en los concesionarios de Estados Unidos, así como las del M6 que también cuenta con el mismo motor V8 de 4.4 litros y doble turbo que entrega 560 caballos (antes era un V10 atmosférico).
Al parecer, la firma detectó un problema en la bomba de aceite de este propulsor ya que, al parecer, puede sufrir una pérdida repentina de presión y el lubricante no llegaría de forma adecuada con lo que el bloque sufriría graves daños.
Aunque no se conocen los detalles exactos, BMW paralizó la fabricación de ambos modelos hasta nuevo anuncio y las ventas de estos modelos y los repuestos involucrados.
