Cupra Raval Electric Cars Urban
The Cupra Raval is spotted in Germany with heavy camouflage
From Cupra they claim that the start of Raval production will establish Spain as a benchmark in electric mobility within the Volkswagen Group.
Cupra made a surprise appearance at the IAA Mobility in Munich with the presentation of the camouflaged production version of the Raval, the brand’s new electric city car that we will see on the streets next year, 2026. This model, whose official presentation will take place in Barcelona, will have the privilege of being the first compact electric vehicle of the Volkswagen Group to enter series production.
Today, the Raval is the only compact electric vehicle of the Volkswagen Group that is already ready to start rolling off the assembly line, which is why it was shown at the IAA Mobility in Munich in its final camouflaged production version, while of the ID. Polo, ID. Cross and Skoda Epiq we have only seen prototypes close to production.

During its presentation, the Spanish brand shared with attendees some details that highlight the dynamic character of the Raval. Compared with the ID. Polo, this model features a sportier chassis lowered by 15 millimetres, a tuned suspension and a progressive steering that enhance its agility. According to Cupra, all versions of the Raval are designed to optimise the driving experience.
Don’t settle for anything less
The top-of-the-range version, called Raval VZ, will be the most aggressive, delivering 166 kW, similar to that of the ID. Polo GTI. This version will include 19-inch wheels with wider 235 mm tyres, DCC sport suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential and an ESC-OFF mode to maximise sportiness. Inside, bucket seats will reinforce its racing character.
All models in the family of compact electric vehicles being developed by the Volkswagen Group are based on the MEB+ platform with front-wheel drive and a wheelbase of 2.60 metres. The Raval measures 4.05 metres long, 1.78 metres wide and 1.52 metres high, dimensions that position it as the ideal vehicle for everyday driving through the traffic of Europe’s big cities. Although Cupra has not yet revealed the battery specifications, the base version is expected to feature an LFP battery pack of around 38 kWh, while the Raval VZ and other higher versions could come with an NMC battery pack of 58 kWh. The price of the most affordable version of the Raval is estimated to be around 25 thousand euros, but what will have to be paid for the better-equipped versions or the Raval VZ remains unknown.

“This model embodies the essence of Cupra: emotion, striking design and electrifying performance, always with the driver as the priority.”
