The entire Opel range will have an electric version starting in 2024
Opel announces updates across its entire range, with the aim of offering an electric version of all its models from 2024 onwards

Opel is currently undergoing a complete transformation of its vehicle range, with the announcement of the launch, in 2024, of the successor to the Opel Crossland B-SUV in its fully electric version. All of this stems from the purpose behind Opel: to offer exclusively fully electric vehicles in Europe by 2028 and, by the end of this year, to offer 15 electrified models in its range.
The brand’s latest news and its intention to electrify its range continue to grow. The Opel Grandland, along with the Opel Mokka, were the latest models in its lineup to receive updates, not to mention the brand’s icon, the Opel Corsa, which has already made the transition to electric.

Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel, highlights the importance of this decision: “With the successor to the Crossland, we want to bring the electric driving experience to our entire model range and offer our customers emission-free mobility in all of our vehicles”.
As we have already mentioned, Opel has made an effort to offer as electrified and as complete a range as possible. Examples of this effort include the Rocks Electric, the Combo-e Life, the Zafira-e Life, and the fully electric variants of the Corsa and the Mokka. Recently, the new Astra Electric has joined the lineup, and next year the launch of the fully electric successor to the compact Grandland SUV is expected. In addition, electric versions of the commercial vehicle line are also available, such as the Rocks Electric Kargo, the Combo-e, the Vivaro-e and the Movano-e.

But that is not all: Opel does not limit itself to battery electric vehicles, its strategy also goes further by including alternative emission-free options in its lineup. In this regard, the GSe sub-brand of Opel offers dynamic and powerful models, such as the Astra GSe, the Astra Sports Tourer GSe and the Grandland GSe, with a power output of up to 221 kW / 300 CV and a maximum torque of up to 520 Nm. These vehicles feature KONI FSD technology (frequency selective damping).
Opel also stands out for its commitment to developing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The Vivaro-e HYDROGEN is already on the road and is being used for commercial purposes. This van offers 400 kilometres of range and refuelling with hydrogen takes just three minutes. The brand is expected, around 2024, to launch a new hydrogen-powered vehicle that serves as a large transporter, like the Vivaro.

In addition, Opel is joining the trend of 48V mild hybrids, which will be added to the electrified range in the near future. The new Opel Corsa, recently announced, will feature engines of 74 kW / 100 CV and 100 kW / 136 CV, paired with a new dual-clutch automatic transmission. With this offering, the Corsa will give customers a wide range of options, from purely electric vehicles to hybrids and highly efficient combustion engines.
