The Fisker Ocean now has a production date and will be manufactured by Magna

Fisker’s 100% electric crossover is getting closer thanks to the agreement between Fisker and Magna, which will produce the Ocean at its facilities in Austria

The Fisker Ocean is one of the most anticipated cars to reach the market, thanks to its key features: Fisker’s first SUV, 100% electric, with up to 480 kilometers of range and a starting price of around 31,000 euros.

Furthermore, we recently reported how this Fisker SUV was going to become the first fully electric popemobile to join the official fleet of the Vatican, so that the Pope can travel in comfort without emitting polluting gases.

Returning to the main topic, Fisker and Magna have announced an agreement whereby Magna will assemble some of Fisker’s models, including today’s protagonist, the Ocean. Production will begin at the end of 2022 at Magna’s facilities in Graz (Austria).

The Ocean is a mid-size SUV with which Henrik FiskerFisker Ocean (6), the founder of the brand, aims to compete directly with models such as the Tesla Model Y, the Ford Mustang Match-E, the Volkswagen ID.4 or the Audi Q4 e-tron. A car with truly attractive design, good performance and a competitive price.

Henrik Fisker has designed important models such as the BMW Z8, the Aston Martin DB9, the V8 Vantage or the Fisker Karma, that 100% electric coupé with which Henrik Fisker tried to revolutionize the electric market in 2011, although it was not successful.

The front design of the Fisker Ocean stands out for its large blind grille with black hexagonal shapes and very sharp light units reminiscent of those of the Range Rover Evoque.

Its side profile catches the eye thanks to the silhouette formed by its windows up to the C-pillar area, giving a clean line, without excess shapes, and genuinely attractive. The wheels this crossover can be fitted with reach an impressive 22 inchesFisker Ocean Suv 2022 (9).

The roof is not usually one of the parts we discuss when talking about a car, but on this Fisker Ocean, the roof incorporates solar panels that allow range to be recovered from captured solar energy, reaching up to 1,600 kilometers per year.

Its rear is made of straight, clean lines. With very slim LED technologyFisker Ocean Techo headlights and the Fisker logo stamped in the center of the tailgate, it gives it personality.

One of the most novel and attractive innovations this new Fisker Ocean will offer is the so-called California Mode. A mode that lowers all the car’s windows, including the rear tailgate glass and the sunroof, giving the feeling of a convertible.

The entry version of this American SUV will have rear-wheel drive, and there will also be an all-wheel-drive option developing around 300 CV, allowing it to go from 0-100 in just 2.9 seconds. The battery of around 80 kWh capacity would allow between 400 and 500 kilometers of range.

Now we just have to wait for FiskerFisker Ocean Suv 2022 (8) to share more details about this highly anticipated SUV that Magna will produce at the end of 2022.
