Ford Mustang Mach-E Electric Cars SUV
The new Ford Mustang Mach-E is more efficient than we thought
The Ford Mustang Mach-E arrives with a major new feature: its charging capacity in the RWD version is more powerful than the studies indicated.

Ford had already announced some time ago that its first 100% electric vehicle would have a close relationship with the combustion-engined Mustang. Later on, the company from the oval let us know that it would take the form of an SUV and would borrow the surname of the quintessential muscle car. Some time later, we met the Mustang Mach-E, the first 100% electric offspring of Ford that is here to stay despite the standstill we have all been living through because of the dreaded coronavirus health and economic crisis.
However, this has not stopped the American brand from carrying on with further tests on the Mustang Mach-E, a model that will sooner or later make contact with the market. But the engineers at Ford have discovered that one of the variants of its electric SUV is more efficient than the estimates suggested in terms of the time that must be invested during charging.
The fact is that one of the biggest drawbacks of contemporary electric vehicles is their range and the time we must spend recharging their batteries. This is why brands such as Ford have made every effort to improve it drastically and ensure easy, straightforward everyday use of the Mustang Mach-E, a vehicle that aims to be a true revolution in the demanding sector in which it competes.

It concerns the Mustang Mach-E in rear-wheel drive configuration with extended battery, an option that has enjoyed an improvement of almost 30% after the latest tests. In practice, using IONITY chargers, it will be possible to gain 119 kilometres of range in just ten minutes of charging, more than enough to cover day-to-day journeys or even trips to nearby locations.
On the other hand, the all-wheel drive versions can add an average of 107 kilometres of range in the same charging time. At the same time, it is also worth highlighting the ability of both variants to go from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes, more than enough time to enjoy the up to 600 kilometres of range that the new Mustang Mach-E can offer.

Little by little, electric cars are ironing out the flaws of the first batches, something Ford attests to with its new member. The company from the oval intends to usher in a new era with the Mustang Mach-E, a vehicle tasked with being the forerunner of a new line of electric vehicles within the brand that will eventually consist of up to 18 models before the end of 2021.
