The Suzuki Jimny Nomade proves the model is very much alive... in Japan
The Suzuki Jimny is no longer sold in Europe due to its polluting engines, but in Japan it remains alive and a four-door version has been launched.

The Suzuki Jimny is no longer sold in Europe because of pollutant emissions, which make its engine invalid in our market. But the model remains very much alive in other countries, including Japan. And the Jimny range has been strengthened with a new variant, which offers more practical performance, such as four doors.
According to Suzuki, this variant keeps the model’s off-road capabilities, but also has the advantage of rear doors, which make access to the two rear seats easier. A luxury for users of this model, which traditionally offers only the two front doors. The larger wheelbase helps create a more comfortable interior for its occupants.

The length of this version is 3,890 millimetres, which is 350 millimetres more than the three-door Jimny, while the wheelbase increases to 2,590 millimetres. Of course, the boot has also grown, so there is more space at the rear.

SUZUKI JIMNY NOMADE
The front is identical to that of the Suzuki three-door Jimny Sierra, although it has a Gun Metallic finish and a silver-coloured grille surround. For the bodywork, more colours have been added, such as Sizzling Red Metallic and Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic.
It also maintains the overhangs and ground clearance, which is 210 millimetres, so it keeps the approach and departure angles of the other model, namely 36º and 47º, while the ramp angle stays at 25º, as it is reduced by 3º due to the longer wheelbase.
The engine is also the same as the three-door Jimny’s, namely a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 105 CV and 134 Nm of torque. The buyer can choose between a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic gearbox, both associated with four-wheel drive.
The price of this version is higher than the three-door and it is manufactured in India.
