Audi R8 Coupé V10 Plus "Selection 24h", a tribute to the Le Mans winner

Audi is celebrating. One year ago, Audi took victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its debut R8 LMS in the GT3 category.
To mark this special anniversary, the team from the four-ring brand has launched a limited version of the road-going R8, which they have christened “Selection 24h”.
In recent years, Audi has focused its motorsport efforts on endurance racing, where the four-ring brand has achieved numerous successes that have established it as one of the benchmarks in this type of racing, where it has introduced all kinds of innovations that have later been transferred to road models.
This is the case of the R8, a sports model that is now in its second generation and which today has the honor, in its Plus variant, of being the most powerful Audi ever to go on sale, with 610 CV produced by a 5.2 V10 FSI engine.
Just as the new-generation R8 LMS won its category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans a year ago, Audi has decided to pay tribute to it by launching a special and limited edition called “Selection 24h”. It is an ultra-exclusive version limited to just 24 units.

This special edition is limited to just 24 units, so exclusivity is more than guaranteed
Aesthetically, the R8 Coupé V10 Plus “Selection 24h” stands apart from its siblings thanks to Suzuka Grey as the base colour, accompanied by Mythos Black and Misano Red, which simulate a livery similar to that of the competition R8 LMS. There are also lacquered carbon-fibre details such as the mirror caps, the front spoiler and the rear wing. This same material, in a matt finish, is present on the side blades. The alloy wheels are 20″ and finished in gloss black, while the exhaust outlets of the sports exhaust system are finished in matt black.
Inside, the décor demonstrates the exclusivity of the whole, with an abundance of leather, aluminium, CRPF or carbon fibre, always combined with exquisite taste. So that its fortunate drivers never forget the jewel they are behind the wheel of, the serial number of the corresponding unit, from 1 to 24, is engraved on the door sills.
Mechanically this version has no variation at engine level, retaining the 5.2 V10 FSI paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, this special edition includes among its equipment a technical package comprising dynamic power steering, the adaptive damping control system Audi Magnetic Ride and laser headlights. Its price, 229,000 euros in Germany, makes these 24 units the most expensive vehicles Audi sells.
