Bentley Coupè Sport by Ares Modena: the Mulsanne turns into a sports coupé
The Italian tuner has decided to take a Bentley Mulsanne as its basis and modify its structure, bodywork and interior to turn it into a unique and highly exclusive model
Having made a small change to its name last year, the prestigious Modena-based tuner behind models such as the Ares S1 Project Spyder or the Panther ProgettoUno is back, this time taking as its protagonist the iconic Bentley Mulsanne, which sadly ended its production back in 2020.
However, the tuner’s creation completely changes the original concept of the Mulsanne, as it abandons its four-door bodywork to become an elegant two-door coupé that offers a more aerodynamic look and a spectacular presence.
Thanks to a series of adjustments, such as shortening its intermediate structure to accommodate larger doors, the Bentley Coupè Sport by Ares, which can also be chosen in targa bodywork, is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, as the bodywork, roof, doors and interior have all been assembled entirely by hand.

Numerous changes to the bodywork
Fitting larger doors structurally required several modifications, such as moving back its B-pillar and redesigning its roofline and C-pillars so they integrate perfectly with the structure of its elegant rear spoiler. Custom-made glass also had to be fitted.
The new rear panels are made of aluminium, while the doors and the entire upper roof section are built from carbon fibre to reduce the weight of the whole, thereby improving both the handling and performance of the new Ares Modena coupé.
Inside the doors, this Bentley Coupè Sport also brings plenty of changes, as its custom-made seats had to be repositioned to allow access to the rear seats, combined with a list of high-quality materials that includes aluminium, wood, leather and carbon fibre.

Greater sportiness with the same comfort
Despite fitting 22-inch alloy wheels, side skirts and a more sporty air diffuser, the Ares Bentley Coupè loses not a jot of the ride comfort that characterises the Mulsanne, as the wheelbase is exactly the same as that of the original model.
As for performance, the tuner has chosen to keep the 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8, which produces no less than 512 CV of power and 1,200 Nm of peak torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and combined with the Bentley air suspension system.
