Bugatti presents the first 8 examples of its Chiron Super Sport 300+, the fastest car the brand has ever built

The first units of the fastest Chiron to date are now ready for delivery, a beast capable of reaching 442 km/h, electronically limited

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+

Our featured car today, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, was born from a prototype presented a couple of years ago that reached the staggering speed of 490.84 km/h. Following this record, the Molsheim brand has created this limited series of just 30 units, which promise to become the fastest production vehicle of all time.

The French brand has accustomed us to announcements about the first or last unit leaving the brand’s production plant, but this time the announcement stars none other than the first eight units to leave the factory, now ready to demonstrate what they are capable of after 24 months of development.

New design features

It is worth noting that these first units feature an elegant finish in carbon fibre, along with two orange stripes running from the bonnet to the rear spoiler. This suggests that Bugatti has not offered its customers the option to personalise their vehicles down to the last detail, something that is quite common for the brand.

As for the bodywork, as the prototype we have already mentioned showed, this Chiron Super Sport 300+ is more aerodynamic than the standard version of the model thanks to its extended rear tail and a front end with new bumpers and redesigned wheel arches. There are also aesthetic novelties on the bonnet, with small vents on its upper part, new-design wheels and four exhaust outlets arranged two and two, which complete the look of this beast.

A powerplant in the purest Bugatti style

Under the rear cover, where its heart resides, we find a 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 producing 1,600 CV, which allows this machine to propel itself to a top speed of 442 km/h. A maximum speed that has also been electronically limited, so the fortunate owners of these examples will be able to challenge more than one aeroplane.
