Drako GTE, the electric supercar with over 1,200 CV, arrives limited to 25 units
The Drako GTE will feature a 90 kWh battery and reach a top speed of 332 km/h. It will enter production and have six driving modes.

After a brief teaser earlier this year, Drako Motors has unveiled its first car at The Quail, California. Considered the culmination of nearly a decade of work, the Drako GTE is an ultra-luxurious saloon based on the former Fisker Karma. Despite this, the model is not a copy, as it features a new front end with very slim light units, a carbon fibre bonnet and large air intakes.
The sides are largely carried over, but now come with more sporty side skirts and hidden door handles. The biggest changes can be found at the rear in the form of a massive diffuser and a small boot with an integrated spoiler.

Drako Motors has only released a handful of interior images, which show that the cabin has seating for four passengers. In addition, the seats are upholstered in Alcantara and it features an infotainment system with a touchscreen and carbon fibre trim.
The energy comes from a 90 kWh battery pack that powers no fewer than four electric motors, capable of producing a combined output of 1,217 CV and a maximum torque of 8,800 Nm. The manufacturer has not mentioned the car’s range, nor the time it takes to reach 100 km/h from a standstill, but has assured that the Drako GTE will have a top speed of 332 km/h. Each of the Drako GTE’s wheels will be connected to a motor through separate direct-drive gearboxes, allowing individual control of the wheels for extremely precise torque delivery.

The company has also been coy about charging times, but has confirmed that the model will have an onboard 15 kW charger. It can also use DC fast chargers with a capacity of up to 150 kW. Other notable features of the model include Öhlins suspension and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.
It also features a torque vectoring system that adjusts the “positive and negative torque at each wheel more than a thousand times per second”, which, according to the company, gives the GTE cornering precision unlike any supercar on the market. Which, frankly, is a very bold claim.

Although there is still much to learn about it, the manufacturer of the ultra-luxury electric saloon with over 1,200 CV has stated that the Drako GTE will enter production shortly. Each model has a starting price of 1.12 million euros, and the company only expects to build 25 units. Interested customers can already place their reservations. It is worth noting that the first deliveries are scheduled for early 2020.
Drako Motors’ goal is to create dazzling driver-focused supercars capable of delivering thrilling performance with maximum control and safety, both on the road and on the track. A track event will be held next November where the new supercar can be put to the test.
The Drako driver-oriented Quattro Manettino consists of four switches mounted on the centre console to adjust every aspect of the driving experience. Full torque vectoring and slip control, front-to-rear power distribution, and fine-grained regenerative braking control allow drivers to tune the powertrain characteristics to match their driving style. The Quattro Manettino also provides the ability to select one of six road surface conditions: Race, Track, Dry, Rain, Snow and Ice.

Notably, the Drako GTE’s battery was designed from scratch with cooling technology capable of sustaining track performance on the world’s most demanding circuits. It is capable of delivering 1,800 amps continuous and 2,200 amps peak.
