G-Power pushes the new BMW Z4 M40i to the limit
G-Power has tuned the BMW Z4 M40i and can deliver up to 500 CV. That said, the tuner offers three different upgrade packages.

G-Power pushes the new BMW Z4 M40i to the limit. Get ready to say hello to the unofficial BMW Z4 M, because the G-Power tuning house has set out to grab attention. The new upgraded roadster is based on the BMW Z4 M40i specification and delivers a whopping 500 CV and 700 Nm of peak torque.
The extra 160 CV and 200 Nm of torque have been made possible by upgrades to the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder inline engine. As part of the process, the tuning company has fitted a modified turbocharger, a larger intercooler, a new exhaust system and optimised engine management software.

The G-Power-tuned BMW Z4 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less time than the standard model, which currently manages it in 4.5 seconds. G-Power has not revealed the figure, but we are sure it has shaved off a few tenths. In addition, the top speed limiter has been removed, so the car can now exceed 300 km/h wherever road conditions (and the law) allow. The top-speed upgrade is an option priced at 595 euros.
On the financial side, G-Power has set a price of 1,949.99 euros for the V3 performance software, which is responsible for unlocking the full 500 CV. Other mandatory parts include the turbocharger modification at 3,450 euros, the downpipe with sports catalytic converter at 1,950 euros and a larger intercooler priced at 1,750 euros.

Additionally, for an extra 357 euros, engine output can also be measured on a dynamometer, so you will know exactly how much power it delivers after the upgrade. Apart from the power increase, the G-Power-tuned BMW Z4 M40i gets new wheels. They are now 20-inch forged units, staggered, with five spokes called the G-Power Hurricane RR. They are wrapped in 245/30 and 275/30 tyres respectively. This makes it the lightest car in its class.

Lower-output upgrades are also available for the M40i belonging to the G29 generation, raising engine output to 380 CV, 410 CV and 450 CV respectively. The first two kits require engine software priced at 1,250 euros and 1,550 euros respectively. The last one needs the larger intercooler and the downpipe with sports catalytic converter, plus engine remapping, for a total of 5,350 euros, without fitting.

G-Power does not talk about power and performance specifications, although it says the acceleration test improves noticeably compared with the figures for the standard model. What it does talk about is its price: a package that will cost a little under 10,000 euros.
