Peugeot 308 GTi: a tuning package pushes its power to 310 CV
The Peugeot 308 GTi receives a series of aftermarket modifications from the French tuner Clemens Motorsport.
The Peugeot 308 GTI is one of the most famous hot hatches on the market. The most radical version of the French compact features a 1.6-litre petrol engine that produces 270 CV as standard, allowing it to take on rivals such as the Volkswagen Golf GTi and the Hyundai i30 N. However, with the latest tune it has received from Clemens Motorsport, the Peugeot 308 GTi can go head-to-head with a tougher rival, the Volkswagen Golf R.
Stage one: 286 CV and 360 Nm of torque

The Peugeot 308 GTi has been the latest model worked on by the French tuner Clemens Motorsport, a tuning company specialising in models from the PSA group (Peugeot, Citroën and DS). The latest tune for the French compact is divided into three stages. The first of these raises the car’s power to 286 CV and its torque to 360 Nm thanks to an optimised engine control unit (ECU).
Stage two: 300 CV and 380 Nm of torque

Stage 2 brings several mechanical changes, beyond the electronics. The turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine now produces 300 CV and 380 Nm of torque, thanks to the installation of a new intercooler, a new blow-off valve and a high-performance air filter.
Stage three: 310 CV and 400 Nm of torque

The most popular option in this tune is stage 3. At this level, the Peugeot 308 GTi reaches 310 CV and 400 Nm of torque. This is achieved through modifications to the intake system, with a new air filter, and a new 70 mm stainless steel exhaust. Like the Volkswagen Golf R, the car now reaches 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds; the most important difference between the two models is that the Golf R comes with all-wheel drive as standard, whereas the French compact offers front-wheel drive.
19- and 20-inch wheels

Clemens Motorsport’s work on the Peugeot 308 GTi is completed with new 19-inch alloy wheels designed by Schmidt Revolution, which can additionally be converted to 20-inch units.
