Production of the Hyundai i10 N-Line begins, a car with an 'old-school' flavour
The new Hyundai i10 N Line arrives eager to prove that small sports cars still have a place and a logic in a world obsessed with CO2 emissions

It is irrefutable that it is increasingly difficult to find a car under 4 metres in length that is as practical day to day as it is fun, as the new Hyundai i10 N Line promises to be when the road turns twisty, on an ordinary country road or on a track during a day of laps.
Be that as it may, lovers of small cars whose power-to-weight ratio we need are in luck, because there are still brands willing to offer unicorns such as the 2020 Hyundai i10 N Line.
Although, on other models, the N Line trim is little more than a finish that adds looks rather than sporting behaviour, in the case of the new Hyundai i10 in the version that carries the letters of the department that takes its acronym from the Nürburgring circuit, the N-Line name is not a mere exercise in posturing but a statement of intent.
So much so that the new Hyundai i10 N Line will feature a 100 CV engine. That figure may now seem rather modest, but considering it comes from a turbocharged three-cylinder unit of 998 cubic centimetres that must move a vehicle whose kerb weight should not exceed 1,000 kg, we have before us a true little mountain mouse.

Because, more than once or twice, less is more: this car reduces things to the bare minimum but contains all the essentials that make a car fun, exciting and, above all, appealing, since besides the bodywork colour specific to the Hyundai N models, this car comes to challenge the other cocks of the henhouse.
Welcome to the real world, Hyundai i10 N Line
And it will arrive very soon because, at last, the first units have already been assembled. From the Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi facilities in İzmit, Turkey, the first examples of the 2020 Hyundai i10 N Line, ready for distribution across Europe, have already been stamped with the seal of the Korean brand’s performance department.
That is why the sale and delivery of the first Hyundai i10 N Line cars is a real cause for celebration for those of us who still believe in producing vehicles around 3.5 metres long, light, powerful and, above all, emotive and exciting to use and enjoy every day.
