4 E-Tech Renault Electric Cars Comerciales
Renault 4 E-Tech Van, the professional version, is now available in Spain
Renault adds the new 4 E-Tech Van to its commercial vehicle range, homologated in category N1 and aimed at professionals

The new Renault 4 E-Tech has been on the market for some time since its launch last spring. This fully electric model, like the 5 E-Tech before it, generated considerable interest, and Renault intends to keep that momentum going by bringing it closer to professionals who need an electric vehicle for work and who want to move around the city with ease, now with the new 4 E-Tech Van version.
Renault wants the 4 E-Tech Van to become the perfect partner for professionals who use their vehicle for tasks such as transporting goods or items, last-mile delivery in urban areas, service companies, rental firms and corporate fleets, among others. To make this possible, Renault has homologated the 4 E-Tech Van in the N1 category, meaning vehicles for transporting goods with a maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 tonnes. For clarity, if you buy a 4 E-Tech Van it can under no circumstances be homologated as a passenger car, which is the M1 category.

To achieve this homologation, Renault has removed the rear seats and rear seat belts, replacing them with a reinforced plastic floor with a cargo retention panel and securing hooks. These modifications mean the 4 E-Tech Van now has a cargo space increase to 940 dm³ according to the VDA standard, which translates to 1,045 litres of capacity, including the 55 litres of the underfloor compartment. The payload is now up to 375 kilograms, while the loading length is 1,200 mm.

The Renault 4 E-Tech Van will have a single trim level, so its standard equipment includes items such as the following:
- 18-inch steel wheels
- Exterior mirrors with electric adjustment and manual folding
- Tinted rear windows
- Electric front and rear windows

As for powertrains, the Renault 4 E-Tech Van can be chosen with the same two powertrains as its passenger car version. On one hand, we have the 120 CV motor (urban range) together with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery, achieving a range of 308 kilometres; on the other hand, there is the 150 CV motor (comfort range) with a 52 kWh battery, which increases the range up to 409 kilometres, all according to the WLTP combined cycle.

With the smaller 40 kWh battery, the Renault 4 E-Tech can go from 15% to 80% charge in 2 hours 37 minutes with an 11 kW AC charger, while the 52 kWh battery does so in 3 hours 13 minutes using the same method; using a 100 kW DC charger, the time for the same percentage drops to 30 minutes.
The Renault 4 E-Tech Van can now be ordered at the brand’s dealerships in Spain, with a price starting from 23,954 euros for the “urban range” and from 26,284 euros for the “comfort range”, in both cases prices still excluding taxes and possible subsidies.
