Suzuki Fronx, the Indian crossover that is heading to international markets
This SUV was sold in India and other nearby countries, but it has now made the leap to other countries where this model will be available.

Vehicles that are designed for a single market can turn out to be very practical in the end. So much so that they can go beyond their original market and end up being sold in other countries. This is the case of the Suzuki Fronx, a crossover that was initially intended only for the markets of India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, but whose success has led to plans to expand sales of the model to other countries.
They won’t bother changing the steering wheel side, so the countries chosen will be those with left-hand drive, which means countries such as Japan are outside the brand’s plans. To do this, they have considered countries such as Mexico, Chile, Uruguay and some countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

This is a car designed for India and, for that reason, it aims to stay within a range that avoids higher taxes. It measures a manageable 3.99 metres and offers an attractive, balanced look. Its engine is also kept at an affordable 1.5 litres, again to avoid paying higher taxes.

SUZUKI FRONX
This is the engine with which exports to Mexico have begun, the first country that will receive it. It delivers 102 CV, with a SVHS light hybrid system. It is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox that also allows manual shifting. It is not a powertrain that offers great performance, but it does allow for modest consumption.
The first edition of this model on sale in Mexico will be framed in the GLX trim. It includes LED headlights, a speed limiter and brake assist. It also features a nine-inch screen for controlling the information and entertainment system, with Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports. It also has a 360º camera and the look is completed with 16-inch alloy wheels.
The model has arrived in Mexico at a price of 429,900 pesos, equivalent to 23,724 euros. For now, Europe is outside Suzuki’s plans for this model, which we assume is due to our market’s regulations.
