The Honda Civic SI, presented in its final configuration with 205 hp of power
The Honda Civic Si has been presented with 205 CV of power and 260 Nm of torque. We will not see it in Spain or in Europe.

The Japanese brand has unveiled the final version of the Honda Civic Si, leaked a few days ago in an email, a model that promises to bring plenty of joy to the most enthusiastic drivers. As we already expected, the new Civic Si will join the downsizing trend and replace its former 2.4-litre engine with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder. This model will offer 205 CV of power and, in terms of performance, will sit between the Type R (the most radical version) and the standard variants: Sport and Touring.
The new Civic’s power output remains unchanged from its predecessor; however, as we reported a few days ago, its torque has been increased to 260 Nm (20 Nm more than the previous version). In addition, peak torque is available from 2,100 rpm and across 70% of the rev range.

The truth is that the new Honda Civic Si has a power deficit compared with its main rivals: the Focus ST (250 CV) and the Golf GTI (220 CV). But this does not mean the car is slow, since it benefits from a lighter and stiffer chassis. It also features a sporty manual gearbox with short gear ratios, a limited-slip differential, electric power steering and a sport suspension with adaptive dampers.
Visually, the Honda Civic Si takes its cues from the standard model, although with certain details that enhance its sportiness, such as redesigned bumpers, a flattened exhaust tip and a large rear spoiler.

The Japanese model will be offered in coupé and four-door saloon body styles.
