The Honda HR-V E: HEV offers plenty of comfort in its cabin, designed with your comfort in mind

The engineers at Honda have worked to ensure that the interior of the Honda HR-V E:HEV improves on the outgoing version in every respect and is much more comfortable.

The arrival of the Honda HR-V E:HEV is scheduled for the third quarter of 2021, so news about this hybrid SUV is coming in with increasing intensity. Now it’s time to learn a little more about the proposal the Japanese brand has made for this model’s cabin. An interior designed for its occupants, so they can enjoy a safe and comfortable space, with many small details that help them feel good.

One of the areas that received special attention is visibility. The windows let natural light in very efficiently, and the bonnet design has been optimised so that the road is always in view, with nothing hidden from the driver’s eyes.

To make that visibility easier, all the controls in the cabin have been placed within the driver’s field of vision. The ventilation, climate control and audio controls are all within easy reach so that unnecessary distractions are avoided. To improve space, the hybrid propulsion system is located in the engine bay and chassis, while the fuel tank sits under the front seats.

This favours interior space and follows the concept of technology applied for people, not for the machine. The design seeks to offer solutions for the comfort of the driver and passengers, so every aspect related to it has been optimised. The rear seats are a good example of this, as they offer 35 mm more legroom than the outgoing generation.

The front seats have also been improved. The previous spring system has been replaced by padded supports that keep occupants more comfortable on longer journeys. Another novelty is the inverted L-shaped air vents. They are located at the top of the dashboard, creating an airflow that surrounds the occupants.

With this type of air diffuser, the air is directed along the sides, creating a sensation like a light breeze. The ventilation has three operating modes. Normal mode sends the air out straight ahead. In air diffusion mode, the air exits and is directed along the sides up to the roof. The breeze sensation is not only pleasant, but it also acts as an invisible barrier that prevents summer heat or winter cold from coming in through the windows.

With all this, the engineers at Honda have managed to improve not only the vehicle’s features but also the conditions for its passengers.
