The KIA Niro EV 2025 is already priced in the United States
The KIA Niro EV will not reach the European market, but it will reach the North American one, and there is a very good explanation for this, which we explain below.
The South Korean manufacturer has just unveiled the price list for the two versions of the new Niro EV 2025 available in the United States. This information came to light shortly after KIA confirmed that this same model will not reach the German market, and most likely not the rest of Europe either, as a consequence of the imminent launch of the brand’s new affordable compact SUV, the EV3.
The KIA EV3 will not, however, reach the North American market for a little over another year, so in this market the Niro EV will continue to fill a gap, meeting the demand of all those customers looking for an affordable and fairly spacious electric vehicle in this segment.

The prices of the different versions of the Niro EV 2025 in the United States are quite similar to those of the 2023 edition. Customers of the South Korean manufacturer in this market have two versions to choose from. The entry-level version, called Wind, has a base price of $39,600, while the top version Wave can be purchased from $44,600. To these prices, however, must be added a surcharge of $1,375 for transport costs. In 2023, the prices of these versions were $39,450 and $44,450, respectively, which represents a slight increase of $150 in both cases that can probably be justified by inflation.
Range and charging times
Both versions are equipped with a battery pack of 64.8 kWh capacity, with which it is possible to travel up to 253 miles under the EPA homologation cycle. That is, about 407 km. According to the manufacturer, completing a charge using an AC wallbox at 11 kW takes about 6 hours, while at a DC ultra-fast charging point this time is reduced to about 43 minutes to reach an 80 percent state of charge.
On the other hand, with regard to equipment, the South Korean manufacturer has wanted to highlight that in this new 2025 edition of the Niro EV pretensioners have been added to the rear seat belts in both versions, with the aim of improving occupant safety.

Inside, the Wind version features a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a rotary dial transmission control; while the Wave version includes advanced features, such as a blind-spot collision avoidance assist system, a power front passenger seat, a Head-Up Display on the windscreen for the driver, as well as a parking assist system.
