The Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder is just around the corner, set to take on its main rivals head-on

Convertible versions of the most radical supercars are all the rage, aiming to heighten the thrill of being able to go without a roof . In this context, every variant of the Lamborghini Gallardo, as well as the recently updated Huracán under the EVO name, has been spotted. Now, the bull badge is finalising every detail to unveil the Spyder version of its latest offspring, powered by a V10 engine, which has been seen running under camouflage ahead of its official presentation.

In this way, Lamborghini intends to keep winning hearts with the Huracán EVO Spyder, a model that will arrive very soon to also challenge its most direct rivals. This is possible thanks to the significant changes the Italian brand has applied to one of its most successful models, which affect both its styling and its mechanics and dynamic behaviour.

The people from Sant’Agata Bolognese have maintained complete silence regarding the arrival date of the new Huracán EVO, but we can infer that the Geneva Motor Show will be the chosen event to carry out this reveal. In this way, Lamborghini is preparing to keep expanding its family in order to welcome more customers and offer them major new features in every respect.

In this video, whose undeniable star is the rear of the camouflaged Lamborghini Huracán, we can make out certain details that we have already seen in the coupé variant. The imposing twin cylindrical exhaust outlets remain present on this Spyder version, just as the new diffuser and splitter designed to deliver greater aerodynamic work.

We do not know the technical specifications of the upcoming Huracán EVO Spyder, but we can infer that they will not differ from the version we already know. On that basis, we would be talking about the familiar and admired naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 capable of producing 640 CV and 600 Nm, figures complemented by a rear-wheel steering axle, the innovative technology named Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI), and a torque vectoring control capable of sending all the power to a single wheel, so that the combination of all of them produces a far more dynamic and effective effect on the Italian supercar.

This is how Lamborghini intends to keep holding the crown of king, also in the convertible segment, where competition is even tougher. With the arrival of the Huracán Spyder and the presence of other models such as the 488 GTB Spyder or the McLaren 570S Spider, we will be able to witness how the bull brand will try to take the lead over its rivals and set a new record where it currently reigns, at the Nürburgring.
