The Land Rover Defender, even more luxurious, powerful and exclusive with these new additions

Land Rover adds new features to the range of the legendary Defender, such as the luxurious Outbound version, the 500 CV V8 engine or the County exterior pack

Just in case there were still customers missing greater choice, Land Rover introduces interesting new additions to the Defender family, making this legendary off-roader even more luxurious, powerful and exclusive. The additions include engine improvements, with the arrival for the first time on the Defender of the powerful supercharged V8 with 500 CV; the Defender 130 Outbound version, aimed at genuine 4×4 adventure enthusiasts; and the County Exterior design pack for the Defender 110, inspired by the original Defender County.

In addition, Land Rover brings other improvements to the range, such as the adoption of a storage tray under the boot floor on the Defender 90 and Defender 130 eight-seater. The access to the second row of seats on the Defender 90 has also been improved thanks to a new grab handle and the sliding and folding mechanism of the front passenger seat, plus 40:20:40 split-folding rear seats in the second row.

Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound: a luxury explorer

Available only as a five-seater, the Defender Outbound takes the exploration capability of this 4×4 to a higher level, without sacrificing an ounce of luxury, refinement or exclusivity. It is available with the P400 petrol engine and in D300 turbodiesel form, in both cases with MHEV mild hybrid technology, which allows them to carry the DGT ECO label.

Terrain Response 2 intelligent all-wheel drive and electronically controlled air suspension come as standard, giving the Defender a wading depth of up to 900 mm and a towing capacity of up to 3,000 kg. Externally it stands out for its matt and anthracite finish on body elements; the wheels can be up to 22 inches, also with a matt finish. The bodywork can be in white, black and two shades of grey, with the exclusive rear panels painted in the same colour.

Inside, the standout features are the additional storage areas, the cargo net or the hard-wearing rubber mats. The boot floor, which offers up to 2,516 litres of capacity, is completely flat when only the front seats are used.

Land Rover Defender 130 V8: high performance

With the supercharged 5-litre V8 engine, producing 500 CV and a maximum torque of 610 Nm, the Defender 130 becomes a true 4×4 capable of what you would hardly expect from a vehicle of this type: setting records. But in reality, the adoption of this engine in the Defender is more about offering a super-exclusive vehicle than showing off performance, although the Defender 130 V8 does accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

For this reason, this engine, which complements the D250 turbodiesel and the P400 plug-in hybrid versions in the Defender 130 range, is paired with a unique finish. Externally there are two body colours, grey or black, always with an exhaust system with four outlets exclusive to this version. The exterior finish is completed by the black sliding panoramic roof, Matrix LED headlights or 22-inch alloy wheels in satin grey.

Inside, this Defender stands out for its heated and ventilated seats upholstered in Ebony Windsor leather with Alcantara and Robustec fabric inserts. Equipment includes four-zone climate control, heated seats even in the third row and ventilated seats in the second row as well, head-up display, Meridian sound system, air purification system and the Pivi Pro multimedia system with an 11.4-inch screen. The prices of the Defender V8 are breathtaking: from 155,000 euros.

County exterior pack for the Defender 110

As a tribute to the legacy of the original Defender County, Land Rover now offers this customisation pack for the Defender 110, which includes, among other elements, specific County graphics on the doors and body sides, plus metal side steps with welcome lighting. For the 20-inch alloy wheels there is a choice of two finishes, one of them gloss white.

Land Rover offers different colour combinations, such as a white or black body with a contrasting blue roof and tailgate, or a blue body with a white roof and tailgate. For the interior, which includes the Robustec tactile covering, there is also a choice of different materials and colours.
