The new Volkswagen Polo gains in performance, equipment and design

After almost fourteen million sales throughout its history, the Polo is back with improvements designed to satisfy all fans of the model and even exceed the expectations of the most demanding customers.
At launch the range features six engines, four petrol and two diesel, all used for the first time in the Polo, together with three trim levels: Edition, Advance and Sport. Over the course of the year, in addition to one more new diesel engine, three new versions will appear: TSI BlueMotion, BlueGT and GTI.
On the petrol side, there are, on one hand, two versions with a 1.0 l three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with indirect injection, which deliver 60 CV (44 kW) and 75 CV (55 kW), with consumption of 4.7 and 4.8 l/100 km respectively, and all of them come with a five-speed manual gearbox.

On the other hand, the other two petrol engines consist of two versions with a 1.2 l four-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct injection, which deliver 90 CV (66 kW), with a five-speed gearbox and consumption of 4.7 l/100 km, the same with the DSG gearbox. The second version delivers 110 CV (81 kW) and comes with a six-speed gearbox, with consumption of 4.8 l/100 km with the manual gearbox and 4.7 with the DSG gearbox.
The two diesel engine versions are three-cylinder 1.4 l engines with outputs of 75 CV (55 kW), with consumption of 3.1 l/100 km, and the 90 CV (66 kW) version, with consumption of 3.4 l/100 km.
The elements that change in the bodywork are the new bumper design, larger air intakes and optional full-LED twin headlights which give a touch of style to the front and provide even better light than xenon. Other new features are six alloy wheels, eight new body colours and the instrument cluster together with the steering wheel; in the chassis, the main novelty is the variable-firmness dampers which allow you to choose between two modes: Comfort and Sport.
Finally, something that pleasantly surprises us is the upcoming Polo GTI, which will be even more powerful than its predecessor, with 192 CV instead of 180 CV.
