The refreshed Toyota GR Supra 2023 presents its range and prices for Spain
The new Toyota GR Supra arrives at Spanish dealerships to close out the year, and it does so with three trim levels, one of them very limited and exclusive

Sales of the Toyota GR Supra are not going through their best moment, including in our market, so it is imperative for the brand to give it a much-needed boost so that it becomes even more attractive and we keep seeing it in its lineup. Toyota’s response to this is to offer three versions that appeal to a wider audience and, equally important, not forget the purists of sports cars.
#SaveTheManual
Under the hashtag #SaveTheManual, Toyota has not wanted to forget the purists, those who cannot conceive of a vehicle of this kind without a manual gearbox. Toyota has also worked to ensure that this gearbox reduces the weight of the assembly by 40 kg. It is already lighter than the automatic, but the engineers’ work on components such as the transmission tunnel, the driveshaft, the gear set and the gear ratios also contributes, ultimately resulting in better dynamic behaviour.

More specifically, this manual gearbox uses an intelligent control system programmed through a new software that prioritises sporty behaviour. When we upshift, the parameters have been adjusted to optimise engine torque during clutch engagement and disengagement and, when we downshift, the software has been tuned to deliver better performance. In addition, new traction control settings specific to the version with this gearbox have been made, consequently also to the suspension and steering, and finally the Hairpin+ function has been included, which allows greater rear-wheel slip for more enjoyment and fun.

But the introduction of this new gearbox has also brought changes visible in the interior, since when replacing the automatic gear lever with the manual one, there was not enough space between the lever itself and the climate control panel. To solve this, the centre console had to be redesigned and the gear lever adjusted to the travel it has to make without requiring more effort than necessary from the driver.
Three trim levels and two engines

The new Toyota GR Supra keeps the powertrains available until now, which, to recall, consist first of the 2,000 cc engine delivering 258 CV and paired with the eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the more powerful engine is the 3,000 cc unit delivering 340 CV and is exclusively paired with the six-speed manual transmission.

In this way there are three trim levels associated with each engine, starting with the Pure + Touring Pack trim aimed at the 258 CV version. This trim includes elements such as the active sport rear differential lock, adaptive variable suspension, front brake calipers with 4 pistons in red finish, together with leather upholstery combined with Alcántara.

The next trim is aimed at the more powerful 340 CV version and is called Performance. This version includes elements such as 19-inch forged wheels, leather-upholstered seats with heating and electric adjustment, navigation, the Toyota Supra Safety+ safety package, a 10-speaker audio system, connected services and carbon inserts in the cabin, among others.

The last trim is called Limited Edition and can only be combined with the 340 CV version. It stands out for adding the exclusive matte white body finish and camel-coloured leather upholstery on the seats, steering wheel, door trim, centre console and centre armrest. Note that only two units will arrive in Spain in this trim, so as you can imagine they will sell out sooner rather than later.
The new Toyota GR Supra starts in Spain at a price of €59,550 for the automatic version, while the manual version starts at €71,550. The two units in the Limited Edition trim will have a price in Spain of €74,550.
