The SEAT Tarraco adds another petrol engine with the new 2.0 TSI of 190 CV
The SEAT Tarraco is now available with a new 2.0 TSI petrol engine producing 190 CV, positioned one step below the most powerful option of 245 CV

Step by step, SEAT’s flagship SUV, the Tarraco, continues to expand its engine range to reach a wider number of customers, this time with the arrival of a new petrol engine that will sit in an intermediate position among those already in the line-up. This is the new 2.0 TSI 190 CV engine, which is already available to order in Spain.
Recall that, until now, if we wanted a petrol engine in our SEAT Tarraco, we could only choose the 1.5 TSI 150 CV unit with a manual or DSG automatic gearbox, available with the Style and Xcellence trims, while if we opted for the FR trim, we could only choose the most powerful version, fitted with the 2.0 TSI engine producing 245 CV and a DSG automatic gearbox.

SEAT now offers petrol enthusiasts an intermediate option, also powered by the 2.0 TSI unit, although its output is reduced to 190 CV, together with a torque of 320 Nm paired with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels thanks to the 4Drive permanent all-wheel drive system. With this setup, the SEAT Tarraco accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h, while its combined consumption and CO2 emissions, depending on the trim, range from 7.8 – 8.7 l/100 km and 181 – 198 g/km under the WLTP test cycle.
Another positive aspect of this engine’s arrival is the trims it will be paired with, as it will be linked to the Xcellence, Xcellence GO, FR and FR GO trims, ensuring a well-equipped standard specification. For example, the Xcellence trim includes features such as:
- Electrically folding, heated exterior mirrors with welcome light
- Front Assist city emergency braking with pedestrian detection
- Full LED headlights
- LED fog lights with cornering function
- Digital Cockpit instrument display
- 3-zone climate control with control from the second row of seats
- Kessy Entry & Go keyless entry and start system
- Rear-view camera
- Electric tailgate with Virtual Pedal
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Park Assist automatic parking system
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Automatic high beam assist
- Chrome roof rails
- Light and rain sensor
- Frameless interior mirror with auto-dimming

On the other hand, if we opt for either of the FR trims, we add to everything included in the Xcellence trim a sportier look, thanks for example to the 18-inch alloy wheels with a specific design or to the moldings, which are finished in black instead of chrome.
As I mentioned a little earlier, the 2.0 TSI 190 CV engine is already available in Spain for the SEAT Tarraco, so we already know its prices which, excluding the discounts applied by the brand, start at 45,600 euros for the Xcellence trim, from 46,744 euros for the Xcellence GO trim, from 43,360 euros for the FR trim and, finally, from 47,504 euros for the FR GO trim.
