This is how Koenigsegg carries out safety tests on its vehicles
The Koenigsegg Regera appears in this video, where it undergoes a series of tests. The company shows how its vehicles pass rigorous safety tests.

The major supercar manufacturers offer some of the world’s most radical and effective vehicles. At the same time, they provide safety measures worthy of their performance, but to achieve that balance between speed and staying safe, the companies have had to put their prized models through harsh tests. This happens with every brand in the world, but few of them bring it to light. On this occasion, Koenigsegg has decided to end the year in a somewhat painful way, showing how the Regera endures all these tests.
The Regera was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, with the aim of beating its main rivals and crowning itself above the all-powerful Bugatti Chiron. Its performance, as you can imagine, is impressive, but to access it safely, the Swedish supercar has had to be subjected to a series of harsh tests.
Its structure has been crushed and deformed due to the impact it suffered against the walls that intervened in its path. On the other hand, although most of its bodywork is made of carbon fibre, it has shown safety levels in line with the whole. This is necessary given the high speeds the Regera is capable of reaching.

The Koenigsegg has two powerplants inside, one combustion and one electric. The Swedish firm chose hybrid technology to deliver optimal performance in its most special model. In this way, both engines together produce a total output of 1,520 CV and catapult the Regera to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest supercars in the world. The petrol engine is a twin-turbo V8, already a Koenigsegg trademark.
The video published on the company’s social media shows the Regera suffering a series of heavy blows to test its resistance. But even so, Koenigsegg wanted to go further and subjected its flagship vehicle to hammering on various areas of the car – including the underbody of the Regera – and, at the same time, the doors also took some blows. On the other hand, the Regera had to cross speed bumps and humps that simulated a kerb.

All these tests are part of Koenigsegg’s safety department, which seeks to safeguard its customers’ lives and keep them safe in the event of an accident. Without a doubt, the Swedish brand has carried out a rigorous and exhaustive job in this regard, and they have made sure that the Regera and the rest of its models do not succumb to imperfections.
