This is the Lotus Emira i4, the entry-level version of a great supercar
The entry-level version of the Lotus Emira has replaced the V6 engine with a four-cylinder unit, which offers more restrained power and all the equipment.

The Lotus Emira has attracted attention since its launch was announced. A supercar that promises a great driving experience. The model’s most attractive version is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine, which delivers 405 CV and 420 Nm of torque. But now the Lotus Emira i4 has arrived.
This has become the entry point into the range. It uses a 2.0-litre engine with a 4-cylinder configuration and a turbocharger. This engine is mounted transversely and sends torque to the rear axle. To suit this engine, the Emira has received several modifications, such as a new intake system and a new exhaust.

The power offered by this new entry-level variant is 365 CV and a maximum torque of 430 Nm. Compared with the V6 engine of the other version, that is 41 CV less and 9 Nm more. The gearbox comes from Mercedes and is a dual-clutch transmission with nine speeds. According to the brand, it is even faster than the one fitted to the V6 version, so it has been tuned to deliver better performance.

The Lotus Emira i4 has other attractions that will give owners a good experience. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 290 km/h. It weighs 1,446 kg, which helps deliver strong performance. To achieve this weight, a lightweight aluminium rear subframe has been introduced, which removes 12 kg from the vehicle compared with the V6 version.
Several elements found in the other version of the Lotus Emira have been added. It now features Launch Control, an e-Diff function and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. In addition, it has a double wishbone suspension in forged aluminium. The suspension uses Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers. These elements change their characteristics depending on the selected driving mode, Sport or Tour.
Elements such as the stability control calibration system have also been modified. The ultralight forged 20-inch wheels help keep weight under control, and the front discs measure 370 mm and the rear 350 mm, both drilled and grooved. The technological equipment is similar to that of the V6 version, so occupants will have everything they need to enjoy the Lotus Emira i4 on board.
