This Porsche Carrera GT has been rebuilt at the request of its owner to make it even more exclusive

The supercar world is booming, as we are at a time when many brands are entering this segment. Yet there was an era not so far from today when this exclusive sector was dominated by just three models that are still icons today: the Ferrari Enzo, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and the Porsche Carrera GT. Over time, their value and charisma have grown, but today we must highlight one unit from the offspring of the Stuttgart company, which has undergone a complete rebuild at the request of its owner.

Thanks to the department known as Porsche Classic, this Carrera GT has been improved in every way , which has allowed it to further enhance its exclusivity. This is reflected in the exterior, where the engineers at Porsche have turned to a series of components designed to accentuate the supercar’s attributes.

A new look never before seen on a Carrera GT

Porsche has shown no reluctance in carrying out the requests of this very special customer, as the German firm has modified many elements. Undoubtedly, the first thing that catches our eye is the green hue now covering the Carrera GT’s bodywork. The paint is called Oak Green Metallic, and was first applied to a Porsche back in 1970.

For a striking stance, we find wheels made of magnesium finished in a golden tone, a colour that pairs perfectly with the bottle green on the bodywork. All the carbon fibre parts have received a coating, a process that required a total of 350 hours and will prevent them from yellowing over time and keep them in much better condition.

The cabin has also undergone some changes, which are reflected in seats trimmed in burgundy leather and tartan fabric. The steering wheel, also re-upholstered, now features a line at twelve o’clock created in the same colours as the exterior, with the aim of creating a harmonious combination.

A glorious V10 behind you

Although the Porsche Classic department can also carry out mechanical work, on this occasion it has not been necessary. This freshly detailed unit keeps one of its most appealing features intact: its engine. The heart of the Carrera GT marked a before and after in its era, which today continues to be regarded with great admiration.

To be more specific, under the bonnet of the German supercar we find a 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V10 capable of producing 612 CV and 590 Nm of torque. At the same time, this engine was inherited directly from Formula 1, so the sensations on board the Carrera GT feel more like those of a racing car.

This exclusive unit will be unveiled at the Porsche centre in Atlanta, an event attended by 100 select guests, among whom will be, of course, the owner of the Carrera GT. With this in mind, we can expect more work of similar calibre from the brand, a development that will allow many users to give their vehicles an even more special touch Porsche.
