007 Zeekr Electric Cars Family
Zeekr is working on a estate variant of its 007 saloon
Although the 007 saloon from Zeekr is not yet sold outside China, high demand for estate variants in some markets could boost sales of this model.
The Chinese car manufacturer Zeekr is planning to launch an estate variant of its 007 saloon, or at least that is what some local media are reporting. This new variant will offer more space for passengers in the rear seats and luggage, although no launch date has yet been announced.
This information reported by Chinese media is based, in principle, on sources within the supply chain itself. Currently under the codename “Polar Krypton CC1E“, the final production version of the 007 Touring or estate will probably offer a design virtually identical to the saloon we already know, with visual differences only from the B-pillar onwards. Thanks to a longer roofline, the Zeekr 007 Touring will have a large cargo space for luggage. A feature highly sought after by some customers with large families or who simply tend to travel in groups or with accessories such as bicycles or surfboards.

Zeekr has not yet confirmed whether it will sell the 007 saloon in Europe, but it seems quite likely that it will. If this finally happens, the 007 Touring estate could be very well received in some markets such as Germany where, for example, more than 90% of all sales of the third-generation Skoda Superb were of the estate version.
What could the technical specifications of this estate variant be?
It seems quite likely, on the other hand, that Zeekr will offer the 007 Touring with exactly the same battery options—75 kWh LFP or 100 kWh NMC—and powertrain options—310 kW/440 Nm with a single motor or 475 kW/710 Nm with dual motors—as the 007 saloon, since the only difference between both variants should be the space available for luggage and rear seats. Likewise, as is the case with the estate variant of other electric models, we can expect the total range to be reduced by approximately 5 percent, as the aerodynamic coefficient and the vehicle’s weight increase slightly. Let us recall that Zeekr announces a CLTC range of up to 688 km for its 007 saloon.

Finally, it should be noted that since no test prototypes have been seen on the roads, it seems fairly evident that the Zeekr 007 Touring is still in the early stages of development, so we should not expect it to reach the market soon. Zeekr has already presented the Mix MPV and is testing an electric crossover with the codename “CX1E”, so it is not out of the question that it could launch these models to market first. In this way, the Chinese manufacturer would also have time to globally commercialise the 007 saloon variant beforehand.
