Ducati Streetfighter V4, the new naked beast from Borgo Panigale
Ducati will put the Streetfighter V4 to the test at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, a model based on the Panigale V4 that inherits MotoGP technology

As if it were a state secret, Ducati had been guarding the development of its new machine closely, the Ducati Streetfighter V4, a model that derives directly from the spectacular Panigale V4, which in turn we can classify as one of the best motorcycles in history thanks to its mind-blowing figures and its technology derived directly from MotoGP.
But Ducati had no choice but to finally reveal that the Streetfighter V4 is a reality, and not because of some typical leak that we are used to, but because in just a few days the Borgo Panigale brand will be present at the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, held annually in Colorado, where Ducati was registered with a prototype called 2019 Ducati TBD in the Exhibition Powersport category, so the rumours only grew louder.

In this way Ducati has confirmed that it is there that we will be able to see the Streetfighter V4 in action for the first time, with the factory rider Carlin Dunne at its controls, serving not only to show it to the world but also to check how this new model behaves on open roads. To do so, Ducati will equip the Streetfighter with a camouflage that, unlike what normally happens, which is used to hide design lines, its pixelated decoration has been created to produce the opposite effect: highlight its lines.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 takes its chassis and engine from the Panigale V4, but it has been stripped of most of its fairing and fitted with a higher handlebar that will allow a less strained riding position, making it a little more comfortable for everyday use. Even so, despite being a motorcycle that tries to be kinder to its rider, its engine will remain an authentic beast capable of making even the most impassive hair stand on end, and if we consider that the Panigale V4 delivers 214 CV and has a dry weight of 174 kg, the Streetfighter V4 has everything needed to set a new record in the power-to-weight ratio for this category.

Although Ducati has not yet provided official mechanical data for the Streetfighter V4, a simple glance at its styling is enough to sense what we can expect. Despite following the faithful style of a naked bike in which we can see its innards due to the lack of fairing, Ducati’s engineers have managed to ensure that what little there is remains a work of art, as we can see in the four aerodynamic appendages on the front, designed specifically for this model and to keep the 1,100 cc of its Desmosedici Stradale engine under control.
Once the Ducati Streetfighter V4 has been tested at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the brand will finalise details for its official presentation, which will take place at EICMA from 7 November in Milan. The brand also confirms that a few months later it will already be available at its dealerships, specifically from March.
