The SEMA Show is being held online this year, and Jeep and Mopar are there with the Gladiator Top Dog, a concept that even includes a hot dog grill

As you know, this year has been strange in every line of work and every aspect of life, and even the motor shows we look forward to every year have had to reinvent themselves so as not to have a blank year. Such is the case of the SEMA Show, the show dedicated to vehicle customisation and its accessories, which never fails to surprise us and which, this year, is being held online from 2 to 6 November.

Present there is Jeep with Mopar, the division responsible for equipping and loading vehicles in the FCA Group with accessories, showing the Gladiator Top Dog, a spectacular build based on the Jeep Gladiator which will undoubtedly delight all lovers of nature and sport, especially mountain bikers, because with this vehicle we could reach the most remote places, enjoying its great 4×4 capability to then take part in outdoor activities.

If the Jeep Gladiator is already a vehicle of large dimensions, this Top Dog Concept will surprise us even more thanks to the two-inch JPP lift kit it features, including FOX shock absorbers to increase ground clearance and also allow the fitting of JPP 17-inch aluminium beadlock wheels with 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 mud-terrain tyres. Hugging these tyres and preventing objects from striking the bodywork are custom steel mudguards.

Alongside this impressive view of the Jeep Gladiator Top Dog Concept there are many more customisation pieces. Starting with the upper front section, next to the windscreen we see a pair of five-inch LED lights on each side that will help improve visibility on tracks and, beside them on the passenger side, there is a snorkel-type air intake to supply the 3.6 Pentastar V6 engine producing 285 CV and 352 Nm of torque when, for example, we ford a river. The bonnet has custom latches bearing the Jeep logo, while a little lower down a JPP Rubicon Bumper has been fitted with a two-inch steel protective grille, a JPP Rubicon Warn winch rated at 3,600 kg, and 30.5 metres of Spydura synthetic cable.

Following the line of the front bumper, the sides of the bodywork are protected by JPP side steps made from the same two-inch welded steel tubing. But what will undoubtedly draw the most attention is the rear, where the load area has been replaced with a custom PCOR flat-deck storage system for this occasion. On the passenger side there are drawers for storing tools and accessories for our bicycles, as well as switches for exterior lighting and additional power outlets; while on the driver’s side there is refreshment for exhausted cyclists in the form of a battery cool box and an electric hot dog grill. On the outside of this loading system we will also find dual work lights, extra space for tools, a roof bike rack, another rear winch and, directly above it, a compartment that hides a folding ladder for access to the upper section.

But not all the changes are exterior; the interior also follows the K-9 Blue body colour, a shade present on the dashboard and in the stitching of the Katzkin black leather on the seats, armrests, gear lever, steering wheel and handbrake grip. The pedals feature Mopar stainless steel covers and, for all occupants, Mopar All-weather floor mats so there is no need to worry about getting in with dirty footwear, and cleaning them afterwards is easy.
