KIA Stinger Tribute Edition: the end of a great model

Introduced in 2017 as an all-new concept within the brand’s product lineup, the KIA Stinger quickly gained popularity for its all-new sporty design, its excellent dynamic behaviour and the option of a twin-turbo V6 engine that delivered no less than 370 CV and 510 Nm of torque, ready to take on its major European rivals: the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, the Mercedes-AMG C 43 or the Audi A5, among others.

Despite all this, sales did not meet the expectations of the Korean brand, which has led to the definitive end of this great model. To bid it farewell as it deserves, KIA has just unveiled the new Tribute Edition special series, an edition limited to 1,000 units worldwide which, moreover, will be fitted with the most powerful engine in the range of this popular Korean sports saloon.

An aspect with special details

Starting with the design of this special edition, the KIA Stinger Tribute Edition debuts a new matte grey paint called Moonscape to dress the saloon, although it can also be fitted with the Ascot green colour we already knew from the earlier conventional versions of the model.

In contrast with the body paint, KIA has painted the mirror housings, the 19-inch alloy wheels, the Brembo brake calipers and the lower part of the rear bumper in black, giving it a sportier look with greater presence.

A distinctive cabin

Inside, the Stinger Tribute Edition cabin is dominated by seats and door panels upholstered in Terracotta brown and by a set of trim pieces with a carbon fibre finish. In addition, the seats of the special edition feature a wasp-shaped emblem on their headrests and a numbered plate on the driver’s door sill.

Under the bonnet, the heart of the KIA Stinger Tribute Edition is the popular 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 that develops 370 CV at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 510 Nm, transmitted to the rear axle and paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
