Elva McLaren Convertibles Supercars Tuning
Novitec tunes the McLaren Elva and gives it a significant power boost
Novitec manages to extract far more from the exclusive McLaren Elva’s powerful 4,000 cc V8

The McLaren Elva oozes exclusivity from every angle. Its name dates back 62 years, when it was also used on another sporty “barchetta”, and although it keeps the name and body style, today’s Elva has little in common with its predecessor, as it now boasts outrageous power and a production run that has been reduced since the official announcement to make it even more exclusive.
Announced at the end of 2019 to compete with the Ferrari Monza SP, with production limited to just 399 units, the McLaren Elva saw its production cut even further, settling at just 249 units worldwide, of which 149 units would be fitted with a windscreen, making it even more practical, especially considering its power. It is precisely this power that the engineers at Novitec have sought to improve even further, complementing it with other components that enhance its performance.

As you can imagine, most of Novitec’s work is concentrated under the bonnet. Remember that under it sits a spectacular 4,000 cc twin-turbo V8 producing 815 CV and 800 Nm of torque. These figures might be considered more than sufficient, but not at Novitec, who have fitted their N-Tronic module to introduce a new mapping for injection, ignition and turbo management, plus a new exhaust line and, optionally, the possibility of a gold-plated engine bay to improve heat insulation.

Thanks to these upgrades, the McLaren Elva can now raise its power to a hair-raising 919 CV, along with torque that also improves to 888 Nm. With these new figures, acceleration to 100 km/h happens in the blink of an eye, just 2.7 seconds, reaching 200 km/h in under four seconds and attaining a top speed exceeding 330 km/h.

Aesthetics take a back seat as a result. In fact, the only styling change Novitec has made to the McLaren Elva focuses solely on new forged wheels signed by the American manufacturer Vossen, sized at 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches on the rear, available in 72 colour finishes in either brushed or polished versions. Furthermore, although the Elva has a low centre of gravity, we can improve it further thanks to the suspension offered by Novitec, which lowers its ride height by 20 millimetres.
