The LOLA T70S is the new British supercar that revives the legendary brand that had disappeared
This supercar dates back to the 1960s and offers a classic look with modern, up-to-date technology, in two versions: one for the road and one for the track.

Lola Cars is a brand that was building racing cars during the 1960s and the 2000s, but had stopped producing models. In 2024 it began building cars for Formula E, but now it wants to be present in the supercar market. To do so, it has just unveiled the T70S, a supercar based on the T70 model, a classic of the brand.
The brand wants this model to become a racing car, although it will also be homologated for road use. So that the driver feels at ease behind the wheel of this model in its road version, the T70S GT, the brand has decided to equip it with a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine. It produces 500 CV and 617 Nm of torque.

This engine is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, something that enthusiasts of strong sensations are going to feel very intensely. The brand claims this model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and will reach a top speed of 322 km/h.
The variant designed for the track is simply called LOLA T70S and uses a 5.0-litre Chevrolet-sourced V8 engine with natural aspiration and an output of 530 CV and 576 Nm of torque. It uses a gearbox similar to the one used by the LOLA T70 from the 1960s. In this case, acceleration is 2.5 seconds and top speed is 326 km/h.

Classic design, modern technology
The aim has been to offer a classic look, taken from the 1960s model, but the technology that makes it up is current. It has been developed on a lightweight chassis built from plant fibres, basalt fibres and a resin derived from sugar cane. This gives it an appearance similar to carbon fibre without using petrochemical elements.
The company calls this system Lola Natural Composite System, and thanks to it the GT weighs just 890 kg, while the T70S is even lighter, weighing a mere 860 kg. The interiors of both versions will be very simple and similar. In the case of the GT, an air conditioner can be fitted, but it will not have many more comforts. Only 16 units will be produced in total and we do not know what price it will sell for.
