The refreshed Hyundai IONIQ 5 2025 starts arriving at European dealerships
Less than six months after Hyundai announced an update to the equipment and technical features of the IONIQ 5 for next year, the new model has already arrived in Europe.
Following the announcement of its launch in its home market last March, the refreshed IONIQ 5 2025 is beginning to arrive at Hyundai dealerships across Europe. As for price, to give us an idea, in Germany this electric model from the South Korean manufacturer, based on the E-GMP platform, has a starting price of 43,900 euros.
Although, it is true that compared with the previous model, the price of the entry-level version has not changed much, it should also be noted that it includes some interesting improvements. For example, while the previous model came with a 58 kWh battery pack, the capacity has now been increased to 63 kWh. As a result and, as might be expected, the range has also increased, reaching 440 km under the WLTP homologation cycle, according to the manufacturer.

Likewise, the battery pack capacity of the extended-range versions has also been increased. Hyundai has decided to replace the 77.4 kWh battery pack in this update with the 84 kWh one already seen in the IONIQ 5 N. With this battery pack, combined with the 168 kW motor, the range soars to 570 kilometres under the WLTP homologation cycle. This represents an increase of 63 km over the longest-range IONIQ 5 version on sale until now.
Its 800V architecture continues to make a difference at the charging point
Although the South Korean manufacturer has not yet specified the maximum charging power supported with the 84 kWh battery pack, in the IONIQ 5 N it is 240 kW and there is no reason to think it will be different in this case. Therefore, it should be possible to increase the charge level of the battery pack from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Finally, and regarding equipment, Hyundai has made some adjustments to the versions in its range. The N-Line version now sits between the Premium trim and the previous top-of-the-range Ultimate. In addition, a new sporty version called N-Line S has also been introduced, available only with the higher-capacity battery pack.
