Hilux Toyota Pick-up Todoterrenos
Toyota renews its Hilux with an updated look, plus greater comfort and technology
The Toyota Hilux receives a refreshed design along with new technologies and accessories that make everyday use easier

The ninth generation of the Toyota Hilux has been on the market for a decade, during which the Japanese brand has kept it up to date with various updates and even adapted it to new times with a fully electric version that we were introduced to in the spring of this year. Now the brand gives its pick-up a fresh twist in several areas.
Precisely when Toyota presented the Hilux EV, it showed us the model with an updated look, which is now applied to the rest of the range of this famous pick-up following the “Tough & Agile” design concept. In this way, the exterior features a new horizontal-design grille, which has led to other elements such as the bonnet and front headlights receiving a more streamlined design.

Continuing with the exterior, specifically in the load area, Toyota has reviewed the functionality of this zone with changes such as the 19 mm outward shift of the side step to make access easier, along with a new rear Deck Step capable of supporting up to 245 kg, and new anchor points that make it easier to install accessories or carry out modifications.

Mechanically, this restyle applied to the Toyota Hilux adds, for the first time on this model, an element that I consider essential in a vehicle of this type: electric power steering, which considerably reduces effort at low speeds while also giving greater control at controlled speeds. In this regard, the chassis has also been revised, incorporating high-strength steel and paying attention to various structural elements and mounting points, and finally a better isolation from vibrations thanks to a new configuration of the cab mounts.

On the technology front, the Toyota Hilux takes a step up with the incorporation of the latest evolution of Toyota Assist, receiving cameras, radars and other sensors that monitor different areas around the pick-up, along with new systems such as the Proactive Driving Assist system, low-speed acceleration suppression, emergency stop signal, blind spot detection, safe exit assist and camera-based driver fatigue detection.
The new Toyota Hilux will remain available in the GX and VX trims across the whole range, although Toyota has taken the opportunity to add the Invincible trim exclusively for the 48 V hybrid version. This trim will be the highest equipment level, featuring exclusive elements such as 18-inch wheels, JBL Premium sound system, heated rear seats, Multi-Terrain Monitor, Panoramic View Monitor, rear differential lock and load area protection.
The renewed Toyota Hilux is now on sale in Spain at a price starting from 36,848 euros for the 48 V hybrid version.
