Emilia GT Veloce: The Alfa Romeo GT returns thanks to Emilia Auto
This restomod brings back the legendary classic, but modernised. So much so that it will feature 510 CV from the twin-turbo V6 of the Giulia Quadrifoglio

In recent years, we have seen smaller brands and companies bring back to modern life the icons that defined an era. This is called restomod, and lately we have brought you in the magazine a fairly broad catalogue of this type of car, such as the E-Legend EL1, the Renault 5 Prototype and the Kimera EVO37.
Today’s protagonist brings back the Alfa Romeo GT Coupé and is called Emilia GT Veloce. This restomod has been created by the German company Emilia Auto which, besides faithfully maintaining the aesthetics of the classic model, has dynamically improved it, turning it into a proper beast.

True to its ancestors
The design of the Emilia GT Veloce stands out above all for its great width and sportiness. Its front features modernised round headlights flanked by two horizontal grilles and, as could not be otherwise, the triangular grille so characteristic of the Italian marque. In addition, to emphasise its sporting character, it has been fitted with a front splitter and a noticeably raised bonnet with a ventilation grille to cool the engine, which suits it really well.
As for its side profile, we notice the muscular proportions of the car, with wide wheel arches, a fairly classic line and wheels that stay faithful to those of the original model but in a larger size. Its circular chrome mirrors are also another detail that gives this machine great personality.

At the rear, we find two rather peculiar tail lights, a duck-tail spoiler that accentuates its silhouette and a diffuser that embraces the two central exhaust outlets. Another nice little detail is its fuel cap, set into the centre of the boot lid.
Elegance, simplicity and perfection
The interior of this Emilia GT Veloce keeps the exterior’s look, respecting that of the classic model. Its sporty wooden steering wheel, combined with the metal gear-lever knob and its classic dashboard presided over by several analogue gauges, complete a cabin of great quality, elegance and charm. The sporty seats also keep a classic look, like that of the original model.

A modern Italian heart
Under the bonnet of this restomod we find the icing on the cake. A 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 block, which comes from the contemporary Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, develops 510 CV of power and 600 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
This is not the car’s only technical novelty, as it will also feature a high-performance braking system by Brembo, a limited-slip differential and a sports suspension with coilover dampers by KW.

Limited and with a rather high price
The German company has already confirmed that only 22 units will be produced, and orders are already open for them. Its price? More than 400,000 euros. So only a few will be able to indulge in this lovely whim.
