Land Rover presents the update to the Range Rover Evoque in various sections

Land Rover had been announcing this update for some time and it has finally arrived: the second generation of the Range Rover Evoque is presented with a restyle that is not very far-reaching, to be honest, which affects several areas, with the mechanicals perhaps the main protagonist through the adoption of mild-hybrid technology, as they have been doing with the rest of their models.

As is usual in these cases, since it is a restyle, the changes focus on the front of the Range Rover Evoque. Looking closely, we now have new headlights, with a much slimmer and more streamlined design profile while retaining its characteristic light signature, and they also add Pixel LED technology. The arrival of these new headlights has consequently meant that the grille design has been modified, although you have to look very carefully to notice it.

With this restyle, Land Rover has also taken the opportunity to make the Range Rover Evoque even more customisable in its exterior design, with an already broad palette of colours that now expands even further with the arrival of new colours Arroios Grey, Tribeca Blue and Corinthian Bronze, which can also be combined with the roof in Narvik Black and Corinthian Bronze. We must not forget eight wheel designs reaching up to 21 inches, with five new finishes along with the mirror-polished option, the latter only available on the Evoque Autobiography and Dynamic HSE versions.

The Range Rover Evoque is synonymous with luxury and comfort for its occupants, who will enjoy high-quality materials such as the Kvadrat vegan wool blend with Ultrafabrics fabric, a blend that is 58% lighter than traditional leather, although traditional leather is of course also available for those who prefer it. A new design feature is also the option of fitting the interior trims in Moonlight Chrome, found on the steering wheel, the centre console and the air vent surrounds.

Once behind the wheel of the new Range Rover Evoque, the first thing the driver will notice is the new Pivi Pro infotainment system, which follows on from the one presented in the Velar, consisting of an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen placed on a console that is now positioned higher and closer to the driver, which translates into more space, allowing a wireless smartphone charger to be fitted as standard. We must also not forget the new gear selector, which has a new design.

Mechanically, the new Range Rover Evoque embraces 48 V mild-hybrid technology, which allows it to reduce consumption and emissions. The range consists of the only petrol engine available, the P160 with a power output of 160 CV and torque of 260 Nm sent to the front axle through an automatic gearbox; from there we move to the diesel D165 with a power output of 163 CV, this engine will be available with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive (without mild-hybrid technology) or with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive (equipped with mild-hybrid technology), while the most powerful diesel option is the D200 with 200 CV of power, 430 Nm of torque, automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

The greenest option offered by Land Rover for the Range Rover Evoque remains the P300e plug-in hybrid version, which combines a three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor to produce 309 CV which, together with the 14.9 kWh battery it features, allows it to travel up to 62 kilometres in fully electric mode. With the DC fast charging included as standard, this battery can reach 80% in 30 minutes.

Land Rover will not delay the arrival of the new Range Rover Evoque in Spain, and it can already be ordered in our country with a starting price of 50,900 euros.
