GLC Mercedes Electric Cars SUV
Mercedes-Benz expands the range of the new electric GLC with two new versions
With these additions, Mercedes-Benz aims to meet the technical needs of a greater number of customers, as well as those with tighter budgets.
Until now, Mercedes-Benz has offered the electric GLC only in its most powerful version, the 400 4MATIC with all-wheel drive, 360 kW of combined output and a 94 kWh battery pack. That situation is set to change, however, this very month of June, as the German manufacturer is preparing to sell two more affordable versions.
The GLC with EQ technology was presented at the IAA 2025, becoming from that moment the first Mercedes-Benz model based on the new MB.EA-M platform. Since its launch last October, the German manufacturer has only offered the 400 4MATIC version, whose price in Germany starts at 71,281 euros.

Well then, as we said, all those who were waiting for the launch of more affordable versions of the new electric GLC have reason to celebrate. According to a recent report published in German media, starting from this very 9 June orders can be placed for two new versions: 250 EQ and 300 4MATIC EQ.
Technical specifications of these two new versions of the GLC
The GLC 250 EQ has a single motor on the rear axle capable of delivering 260 kW of power, while the GLC 300 4MATIC will keep all-wheel drive with a dual electric motor setup, with a combined output in this case reaching 310 kW. This latter version will therefore sit just one step below the current GLC 400 4MATIC.
The two new versions available soon will be equipped with a battery pack of smaller capacity, standing at 85 kWh. This battery pack is the same one already used by other electric models of the brand with an 800-volt architecture, so we know that at a DC fast-charging point it accepts up to 320 kW. In this way, it is possible to increase the state of charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 22 minutes.
For AC charging, on the other hand, these new versions come standard with an 11 kW onboard charger, which allows a full charge in around nine hours.

Beyond these two new versions of the electric GLC, Mercedes-Benz plans to keep expanding the range of this electric SUV with two additional versions. The first of these will be the 300+ EQ, which will combine the 94 kWh battery pack with a single 270 kW motor on the rear axle. This version will offer the greatest range of the entire lineup.
In addition, the launch of the most affordable version of all is also expected, with a single 230 kW motor on the rear axle paired with a 64 kWh usable battery pack.

For now, Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced prices for the new 250 EQ and 300 4MATIC EQ versions, but given that sales are just around the corner, we will not have to wait long for this information. The first deliveries of these two new versions are scheduled for before the end of the year.
