Mercedes Concept AMG GT Track Sport, the basis for two Black Series models
This concept model is designed to pave the way for two competition and road models, and it is being tested on circuits around the world to get to know it well.

The world of motorsport often serves as a testing ground for the cars we will soon see on the roads and streets of our cities. So it is no surprise that manufacturers strive to create concept models that pave the way for road models. But first, it is worth testing them on the track and facing major challenges.
The Mercedes Concept AMG GT Track is the model that previews two competition models, and in these images we can see it wrapped in extensive camouflage. This model is expected to preview the next-generation GT3 and also the GT Black Series. The development of this concept model across both series is set to produce the most radical Black Series in history.

The road version is also expected to be the basis on which the new GT3 will be designed, which will aim to position itself against other models from brands such as Ford and Porsche that offer similar performance.
These prototypes are not new. They were already seen a few months ago, although the ones we see now have some visible changes. For example, the front grille has changed, and surely other elements have also been improved, even if we cannot see them. The road version of the GT3 is very similar, with very similar headlights and cabin. But these track-oriented versions are slightly longer and wider. The rear has also been redesigned and features specific aerodynamic elements, focused on improving track behaviour.

We can see active aerodynamic wings on the front wheels, as on the hypercar Mercedes-AMG One. In addition, a large front splitter, side fins, a vented bonnet and a very large rear wing in a swan-neck shape, starting from where the rear window usually sits, have been added.
This has been replaced by a solid panel that supports the vertical brackets. The rear diffuser is also larger, and the exhausts are located on the sides. Under the bonnet, a new version of AMG’s flat-plane crank V8 engine is expected, with a chassis specific to the model and solutions to reduce the vehicle’s weight.
After testing at the Bilster Berg, Portimão and Monteblanco circuits, testing has begun at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, so we will soon have both models ready to be admired and enjoyed.
