The Lamborghini Urus SE receives the spectacular "Esteso" kit from Novitec
The Lamborghini Urus SE has paid a visit to the Novitec workshops to receive the new version of the “Esteso” kit for this high-flying plug-in hybrid

A Lamborghini Urus with an ECO sticker? Yes, in this nonsensical world of emissions labels, manufacturers were very quick to adopt any kind of hybridisation to make their vehicles more “eco-friendly”, which is why a Lamborghini Urus SE with its plug-in hybrid system and 800 CV of power can enter a ZBE while you, with your Ford Fiesta from 2000 that consumes and emits less than a lighter, cannot…
Criticism aside, Lamborghini did a very good job so that its “golden goose” can keep being sold in Europe without any problem and get around the restrictions that Brussels imposes by decree, at the cost of having a heavier vehicle that is also more expensive to manufacture but which, on the other hand, gains a considerable increase in power. That is why the Urus SE is more than an SUV: it is a supercar pumped up with all the grit and essence of the Italian brand, one that could not be missing from the catalogue of specialist tuners such as Novitec.

This is not the first time the Lamborghini Urus has passed through the workshops of Novitec; it has done so on several occasions, the last being a couple of years ago when the S and Performante versions were chosen to receive the “Esteso” kit for both, featuring the improved parts manufactured by the Germans. Now the “Esteso” kit arrives for the Urus, but naturally it does so for its latest version, the Urus SE with its plug-in hybrid system.

This kit created by Novitec begins with the pieces that we can add, together or separately, to the bodywork, starting at the front with a generously sized lower splitter, along with the carbon fibre fins that help provide greater downforce on the front axle at high speeds. We can also fit a new bonnet in two versions, either with carbon fibre inserts or made entirely of carbon fibre, in which case the Novitec logo is also incorporated.

From the side we can see that the wheel arch panels have also been enlarged; specifically, 10 centimetres are added at the front and 12 centimetres at the rear, which house the enormous 23-inch wheels for both axles, manufactured by Vossen in three different designs but equally fitted with high-performance tyres. From this view we can also see that, apart from the skirts connecting the new wheel arches, its height can be lowered by up to 25 mm thanks to the Novitec CAN-Tronic suspension module; finally, at the rear there is a new spoiler that is understated yet distinctive.

Mechanically, Novitec makes no changes to the 4.0-litre V8 engine of the Lamborghini Urus SE which, together with the electric motor it carries, still generates 800 CV of power and 950 Nm of torque, sent intelligently to all four wheels. What Novitec has prepared for the Urus SE is the option to install a new stainless steel exhaust line with valves to modify the sound it produces at will or, if preferred, the Novitec Inconel exhaust line with a fine 999 gold plating.
