The renewal of the DS 4 brings us a more streamlined model with better performance
This is the new DS Nº4, an update of one of the most attractive cars in the Stellantis range, arriving to show that there is still a lot to offer.

The time has come to meet the DS Nº4, successor to the DS 4, which changes its name following in the footsteps of the brand’s flagship, the DS Nº8. As expected, this redesigned model presents several substantial differences with its predecessor, especially when it comes to the exterior appearance and the interior design. These changes set a more luxurious direction than the one its predecessor had.
The front now features an illuminated grille, with the DS logo also illuminated. The daytime running lights have also been redesigned, in line with the rest of the model. The bumper now has a more aggressive look, and beneath it there is a larger air intake. The bonnet has grown by 0.5 centimetres, which also improves its external image.

The profile keeps a similar look to what we already know, and the wheels, which can be 19 or 20 inches, help keep it recognisable despite the changes. The roof can be painted black, offering an interesting contrast with the bodywork. At the rear there are subtle changes, such as new badges and dark decorative details.

Changes to the interior
Inside, we find a recognisable cabin, but it also receives interesting changes to reinforce the sense of change. The instrument display measures 10.25 inches, and the one handling the infotainment system measures 10 inches.
There is not much more information about the interior, but it is known that it will come as standard with Alcantara and brown Nappa leather upholstery. Optional extras include a wireless charger for smartphones, heated front seats and a higher-quality audio system signed by Focal.
As for boot capacity, the hybrid version offers 430 litres, while the plug-in hybrid version reduces it to 360 litres. The electric variant sits between the two, with 390 litres.

New powertrains
The hybrid version of the new DS Nº4 has a powertrain made up of a 1.2-litre engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox with an integrated electric motor. It delivers 143 CV of power and 230 Nm of torque. Its electric motor will allow the driver to run in electric mode 50% of the time spent in city traffic, depending on traffic conditions.
The plug-in hybrid variant, meanwhile, has a four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It offers 222 CV of combined power and 360 Nm of torque. Electric-only range reaches 81 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, which is not bad at all. This is achieved thanks to the 14.6 kWh battery, more than enough for its purpose.
Finally, there is the electric version, which will feature an electric motor with 210 CV of power and 343 Nm of torque. The battery has a capacity of 58.3 kWh, providing a range of up to 450 kilometres. It can use a fast charger of up to 120 kW, taking it from 20 to 80% in about 30 minutes.
