The SEAT Tarraco will be even more appealing with the 150 CV 2.0 TDI engine, able to keep the DSG automatic gearbox but eliminating the 4Drive system

SEAT continues to bet strongly on its SUV models, and this time it is the turn of its flagship for this segment, the Tarraco, a model the brand aims to have a greater presence in company fleets and, obviously, in the private market too. To this end, from now on, the SEAT Tarraco will offer a new configuration that is very appealing for its 150 CV 2.0 TDI engine.

Until now, the TDI engine of the SEAT Tarraco could only be combined with front-wheel drive paired with a manual gearbox or, if we opted for four-wheel drive 4Drive, it was paired with the DSG automatic gearbox. But now SEAT takes things a step further and proposes a more logical solution for places where four-wheel drive is not necessary or the customer simply wants to do without it, now allowing the 2.0 TDI engine to keep working with the DSG automatic gearbox, sending power only to the front axle.

This new configuration for the Tarraco’s 2.0 TDI engine will mean that company fleets, such as those dedicated to vehicle rental, will focus even more on the SEAT Tarraco, but also, as I mentioned a few lines above, private customers who do not need the 4Drive system but prefer the comfort of the DSG automatic gearbox will do so, and if it was already an efficient engine, now, by dispensing with the weight of the 4Drive system, it will be even more so.

The performance figures of the 2.0 TDI engine for the SEAT Tarraco remain the same, with a power output of 150 CV available between 3,000 and 4,200 rpm, together with a torque of 360 Nm, allowing daily driving needs to be met regardless of the journey, combined with the DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox, characterized by quick and smooth gear changes. By now sending power only to the front axle, the SEAT Tarraco records a combined fuel consumption of between 5.4 and 6 l/100 km, as well as CO2 emissions that can range between 140 and 157 g/km, figures obtained under the WLTP test cycle.
