The company specialized in camper conversions has created a version of the Mercedes Sprinter that lets you enjoy your free time with well-equipped comfort.

When the good weather arrives, we feel a strong urge to get out and enjoy free time in nature. That is when we look at camper vans, vehicles fitted out so you can travel comfortably and spend the night anywhere. Westfalia is a van converter specialized in this type of vehicle and known for its many conversions.

One of its best-known models is called Jules Verne and is based on a Mercedes Sprinter. It can be fitted with either the Elegance trim or the Avantgarde trim. It is a very practical vehicle to start with, and the camper conversion makes it much more attractive and functional.

It is a compact model with a modest length of 5.14 metres. This allows it to drive comfortably around town and, thanks to its height, it can park in any urban car park, whether surface or underground. Its size is no excuse for not offering good equipment, which allows four people to travel comfortably and enjoy a large, well-equipped leisure and rest area.

It features a removable kitchen with two burners, a 51-litre fridge and a sink that, although small, provides the necessary service to stay comfortable. The water comes from a 50-litre clean water tank and another 36-litre tank for grey water. The rear of the Westfalia Jules Verne offers a leisure space for eating or resting, but at night it can be turned into a comfortable bed.

This bed is sized for two people, but another measuring 190 x 170 cm in the pop-up roof can be set up. To complement the comforts, a fixed cassette toilet has been installed which, although not as practical as one might want, serves its purpose when needed.

The bathroom area can be complemented with an outdoor shower and even an indoor one. In that case, a curtain can be added to preserve privacy. Heating is provided by the Webasto 2000 system, which runs on diesel and does its job on cold days.

As for the engine, Westfalia has not modified the original unit. This means it uses a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, producing 136 CV, paired with a 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, with nine speeds, which sends all the torque to the rear axle.

As for the price, the converted vehicle, with basic equipment, starts at 61,000 euros. It is possible to add more equipment or more powerful engines to the basic offer, so this could increase that price depending on the options chosen.
