Arriving at Seat is a diesel with more steroids and fewer pollutants: Seat Ibiza FR 2.0 TDI CR

Whether or not we agree, we learned that the Seat will be the official transport of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union. Now Seat is launching a new diesel engine that will debut in a new variant of the Ibiza called FR TDI CR, which offers more sportiness and lower emissions.

The Ibiza FR line will be the first model in the group to use the new 2.0 TDI engine on this platform, which improves emissions by 20% compared to the previous 1.9-litre diesel variant.

As we said, the diesel Ibiza FR now aims to add a touch of sportiness: it has a top speed of 210 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, consuming 4.6 litres per 100 kilometres, according to data provided by Seat.

As with the petrol version, the new SEAT Ibiza FR 2.0 TDI CR of 143 CV will be available with SC bodywork and also as a 5-door, featuring a look that sets it apart from the rest of the range. The FR version has specific bumpers, with honeycomb-pattern front grilles—the central one with a chrome profile—that match the already characteristic Arrow Design concept, silver-coloured mirror caps, specific 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/40 tyres, and the twin exhaust outlets on the side. This version of the Ibiza will also feature the Bocanegra finish, as on the petrol version.

    Saludos.
