Dodge Charger CAPTIV: an old-school muscle car with over 700 hp under the hood
Created by tuning specialist Ringbrothers, this 1969 Charger has been updated, resulting in a spectacular machine

In recent years, many tuners and specialists have wanted to bring legendary models from the past back to the table, though with a modern touch. Examples include the Emilia GT Veloce, the 993 Speedster Remastered or the R5 Turbo 3.
Most of these restomods use an electric motor, largely losing the original essence of each icon. However, other tuners have wanted to bring these models of the past back, but fitting them with a petrol engine equivalent to the original yet in a modern version, while keeping their image practically intact.

These ingredients are what the guys at Ringbrothers have taken to develop this Dodge Charger CAPTIV, built for New Zealand racing driver Greg Murphy.
Keeping its essence
First, this Charger CAPTIV has been dressed in a colour called Pile Up Yellow, which together with numerous black elements makes for a sublime colour combination.

As for the bodywork, no different bumpers have been fitted, nor any novelty apart from a subtle rear diffuser made of carbon fibre, which adds an extra touch of aggression alongside its 5-spoke HRE wheels in chrome and black.
A highly worked interior
Inside, this build does feature numerous changes and a great deal of work, as it has been fitted with a carbon fibre steering wheel, a dashboard and centre console covered in black leather with yellow contrast stitching, a yellow ball-shaped gear lever knob and a modern infotainment system and instrument cluster to complete the ensemble.

Having reviewed the exterior of this muscle car, it is time to talk about the crown jewel: its Mopar Hellcat V8 engine, which develops an incredible 707 hp and 881 Nm of torque, paired with a carbon fibre transmission system signed by Tremec.
To stop the car, Ringbrothers has decided to fit a braking system with six-piston calipers and slotted and drilled discs, and wheels matching the aforementioned HRE Performance Wheels.
