It was announced a few weeks ago, but until now we had not had the chance to see the details that shape the Lynk & Co 900. It is a large SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that aims to carve out a place in the Chinese market as well as internationally. Let’s take a look at what it offers and why it should be a good choice within its segment.

A large SUV

The Lynk & Co 900 SUV is built on Geely’s SPA Evo platform and measures 5,240 millimetres in length, 1,999 millimetres in width and a substantial height of 1,810 millimetres. The wheelbase stands at 3,160 millimetres, which ensures comfortable interior space.

In terms of styling, the model shares its general look with the rest of the brand’s range, so it is a car that is very similar and shares common characteristics with the other Lynk & Co cars. The daytime running lights stand out, placed above the main headlights, which sit in the bumper.

Space and equipment at the service of the driver and occupants

Inside the Lynk & Co 900, occupants will find quite interesting equipment. In front of the two-spoke steering wheel there is a display for the instrumentation measuring 12.66 inches, supported by a Head-Up Display. On the dashboard there is a large 30-inch screen, split in two. One sits in the central position for controlling the infotainment system and another for the front passenger.

On the centre console there are two spaces for wireless charging of mobile devices. At the rear of the console there is another screen for rear occupants. There is also a 30-inch screen that unfolds to provide entertainment during journeys.

Three plug-in hybrid variants

The entry-level version features a 1.5-litre combustion engine, combined with an electric motor on the front axle delivering 160 kW, that is 215 CV, and a rear motor adding 230 kW, equivalent to 308 CV. Combined power is 530 kW, which equals 710 CV.

The second variant uses a 2.0-litre combustion engine, coupled with a front electric motor delivering 123 kW, which represents 165 CV, and one on the rear axle rated at 230 kW, that is 308 CV. Together, they deliver 540 kW, that is 724 CV.

No figures are provided regarding the range in electric mode, although it has been announced that the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is four seconds.
