Gordon Murray unveils a new version of the T.33 supercar: track-bred looks and road-going functionality
The supercar maker has presented its latest project, a different version of the T.33, aimed at the track but capable of being driven on the road.

Gordon Murray is one of those small manufacturers that are specialised in building niche cars. And their niche is supercars. One of their most recent models has been the T.33 supercar, of which they have just unveiled a new variant, the T.33 S. This is a variant that raises the performance of the model and joins the Coupé and Spider versions.
The Gordon Murray T.33 S features the same carbon and aluminium monocoque chassis, powered by the naturally aspirated 3.9-litre V12 engine used by the rest of the model’s versions. This engine is a version of the unit used in the T.50, but it has been modified to fit into this model.

As standard, this engine delivers 609 CV and a maximum torque of 451 Nm, although these figures are expected to rise slightly in this version, as it is expected to be a track-oriented variant that still does not give up on the road.
All of this will be reflected in greater aerodynamic downforce and more specific suspension adjustments to perform on the track. It is not expected to have very radical aerodynamic elements, as the aim is to maintain its functionality on the road, and it must be homologated for that purpose.

These changes may focus on the fitting of a front splitter, side skirts and possibly a fixed rear wing. The company has not provided data on the total weight of the T.33 S, so we do not know whether it will be lighter than the standard T.33. There is also no information on the number of units to be built, although it could be somewhat fewer than the 100 units planned for the Coupé and Spider, given its particular configuration.
One detail worth noting is that the T.33 is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. This makes the driving experience more intense, and customers have not even wanted to hear about an automatic gearbox for the supercar. For the time being, we have no images of this new variant, although looking at the other two versions we can imagine what the new supercar with a track soul but a road spirit will look like.
